I've worked at this nursing home and I have nothing but good things to say about the team. It's a workplace with a super-friendly atmosphere; in the end, they're like a big family. You'll find camaraderie, unity, and the management team is incredibly approachable. They work at all times toward person-centered care, and your opinion is taken into account. I'm grateful to have worked with them and also for everything I've learned.

My mother stayed here for just over a year, and the treatment was unbeatable. The surroundings were perfect, and the facilities were excellent. Many thanks to all the staff.
I had to take my aunt to this residence because it was impossible to care for her at home with caregivers. The day we went to see the facilities, it seemed like a place where the residents were well cared for and we saw a pleasant and lively atmosphere. With great sadness on my part, I had to leave her hospitalized hoping that she would adapt quickly to her new situation, she had a lot of cognitive deterioration and I was not very sure, the days went by and she ended up adapting, not only that, but I They regulated the medication and the fluid retention problem I had improved improved. The treatment by the management and the entire team has always been good and friendly, always giving me all the information about the status and abilities of my family member. Finally my aunt passed away. She was very old and already very weakened. At this age, any illness that is not important in a young person can end the life of an elderly person. For my part, I will always remember the days when my wife and I went to visit her, especially in good weather, and we walked in the shade of the large trees in the patio. A thank you to the entire residence team.
Very good. Before presenting the review I am going to give a little background. My father was diagnosed with Mild Dementia a few years ago. Unfortunately, and given that my mother was very old and we did not have the medical means to care for her properly, we had to admit my father to a nursing home, with the consequent pain that comes with having to admit your father or mother to a nursing home. First we admitted him to a Residence in San Martin de Valdeiglesias, the Residence was private and was called “Virgen de la Nueva Residence”. I can't have any complaints about that residence, pleasant treatment and everything great. They treated my father perfectly in every way. We applied for a subsidized residence (which we all paid with our taxes, which are not given to us) and they granted us the Orpea Residence in Collado Villalba, so we managed to get a little closer to my father, since we live in Getafe and although San Martin de Valdeiglesias was great, it was quite far away and we ran out of money to be able to pay for it. Let's remember that you have to pay 86% of the pension received by the interested party, in this case my father, so nothing as a gift. Well, we arrived at Orpea, a residence run by Miss María Jesús, a true mercenary for the elderly, who only sees numbers, without any empathy and with very few skills in dealing with people. From the first moment she showed herself to be an arrogant person and the typical official who demands all possible obligations from you without giving you a break, although she passes your rights through the triumphal arch. During the months that my father was there there were continuous problems, they charged you for everything without taking care of absolutely anything. They lost my father's dental prosthesis in a trip to the emergency room, we claimed it and they told us that was what it was, that we could file a complaint if we wanted and what did we believe, that with the money they charged my father she could go on vacation, that was the director María Jesús. They charged us for transfers to the hospital with a companion without accompanying companions and we found that a taxi driver delivered my father to us, with the danger that entailed going alone in a taxi with no one watching over him. When we finally found another residence, when they gave us their belongings they gave us completely destroyed clothes without giving us any explanation or having notified us of anything. Every now and then my father had a urine infection and when we went his clothes were always untidy and dirty, we told them and they didn't care, always the same excuse, that it had been stained that day. They let them shit and pee in their diapers and they spent hours like that. Many times when we went to see him we found him sleepy and lifeless. The relationship between the medical services was that way, since it seemed that they were fighting among themselves, they gave each other shit without wanting to know more. The only people who were saved a little were the Psychologist and a new girl who came in as a social worker. When you spoke to this María Jesús, everything was arrogance, she continually cut you off and wouldn't even let you speak. My father today is in the “Clínica Geriatrica de Los Ángeles” Residence in Getafe and he is a different person, he no longer has a urine infection and is much happier and awake, which gives us something to think about the treatment received in Orpea. Of course, of the 3 residences where he has been, Orpea is the worst, a place where your family member is going to die before their time and you are going to see how they fade away little by little, luckily we were able to get them out of there in a few months and now in Getafe it is great. Orpea is death in life and her director is the undertaker who only looks at her numbers and does not hesitate to assume no responsibility. That is if he asks you to even give him your blood, but to set an example, none. If you love your family member, look for another Residence, this is death. Of course this is only our personal experience, the sensations and the treatment that we have had and that we wish to inform future clients.
On behalf of the family, I thank Orpea Collado Villalba for her sensitivity and professionalism. I can confirm the impeccable attention of the entire organization that my mother has received. Auxiliaries, nurses and doctors have been great support. The management has let us enjoy our mother until the last moment. Thank you all very much for making the end of his life more bearable. The whole family thanks you.
