The facility it self isn't bad, as a patient I have come to find out it's self help. It is absolutely vital to be actively participating in your treatment. The staff will NOT go above and beyond to help. They do not enforce hygiene routines nor do they assist incontinent patients on a regular basis. Staff will allow patients to walk around with clothes soiled with urine and fecal matter. Combative patients are left to their own demise in order to avoid altercations. Standard operating procedures are not enforced with infections diseases. Many patients in the facility definitely require a higher level of care. Patients don't complain about the conditions in fear of repercussions. I'm not by any means undermining the difficulty of any job function but staff does not display any perfessionalism or bedside manner. Cussing and name calling has become a normality here. At times asking for assistance is met with a nasty response "that's not my job". We are then told to address the chain of command. Which then takes days, weeks and maybe months before anything is actually accomplished. This is just my experience.

My grandma was held there and Denise Carino was her nurse and she was absolutely amazing. She cares about her patients and works very hard in making sure they are well cared for. If I had someone like Denise constantly looking after my grandparents I would feel very blessed. She is truly the greatest!
I Have Visited Many Nursing Centers. But never walked in and everyone is greeting you with a smile. Even the resident or patients. The staff was awesome very professional. Treated you like you were someone. and answer any concerns you have. Merry Christmas to the staff and patients and a Happy NEW Year!!!! I would definitely go back and visit someone without any hesitation.kerp up the good work.
I was truly impressed by the care and professionalism at Yonkers Center. The staff is attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the needs of residents. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and offers a welcoming environment that feels like home. From rehabilitation services to daily activities, they prioritize residents' well-being and quality of life. I highly recommend Yonkers Center to anyone seeking reliable and thoughtful care for their loved ones.
Though facility is being remodeled it was clean and organized. The staff was cordial, professional and our family member is being treated well. The public restrooms are modern and clean. The ground floor public bathroom has no access and that needs to be fixed.
