Makes me don`t want to go to a sanatorium.
I find it very sad to see that this center is struggling with the cutbacks in Dutch healthcare. The old part is dated, rooms/furniture old, there are not many facilities in the home and the access to the center could be friendlier, warmer). Very sad to see this, the staff does their best in my opinion. That it can be done differently, is proven by the hospice, which has such a different atmosphere than the rest of the building. I would like to help make this look better. I also do not see the mix with students bearing fruit, a missed opportunity. Young and old should be an ideal mix, but instead the students lock themselves in their rooms and there is little to no interaction to be seen.
My mother has been living in Delfshoven for 2 years now. She's really having fun with it. The care is very good. Employees involved, sweet, and knowledgeable. Fun activities are offered that she enjoys going to. The only downside I think is that the room is not big. But they are renovating this one. Thank you for all the good, sweet care!!!!
