Delftweg 166, 3046 NC Rotterdam, Netherlands
One of the very rare nursing homes that appeals to the imagination. A nursing home for real ladies and gentlemen who date back to a time when we held ethics in high regard. A must see for anyone who wishes for his/her elderly family member to be carried on a pedestal. It is all splendor and splendor, classic with a wonderful ambience, also modern and has the appearance of Soesterberg Palace or the famous Hotel des Indes in The Hague, both inside and out. The restaurant looks like a classic five (Michelin) star restaurant, the shared living room is that of a baron from the year 1850 with matching furniture in every detail. The personal living areas of the residents vary from classic to modern but do not detract from the entire entourage. An environment that you would wish for any aging person. In the wealthy Netherlands, we should strive to accommodate all our elderly people in this type of shelter. The only downside of this establishment is that there is not a single resident of color living in this beautiful nursing home and it appears that only the very well-off people are eligible for this. An annual draw for the less well-off would be an asset to such a nursing home.
