I will just say that i would not recommend this place to anyone. Their advertisements are difficult to listen to because it is so far from the truth. My friend who is a resident there has to argue to get her basic needs met. My heart goes out to both residents and employees of this facility. I hope they are in the process of making. big improvements for nursing care procedures and expectations and food quality and preparation.

Similarly to other posted reviews, my mother was transferred from a nursing home to the Woodside Memory care center. This section is staffed 24/7. Every member of the staff is professional, courteous, and compassionate. The residents are encouraged to interact with each other. There is a common area where they can gather for dining, movies, and group activities. Additionally, this facility accepts Medicaid. That process can be extremely confusing. The Director of Admissions, Aliah, was instrumental in ensuring that I was successful in navigating the process. My mother is safe and well cared for.
Overall, Woodside Senior Living does a very good job for their residents. The director who lives on site Monday through Friday is a leader who cares about the residents as do the pleasant and helpful staff. I thoroughly researched some 100 assisted living facilities in my surrounding area for my brother and we both agreed that this one offered the most for a resident with Medicare and/or a Medicaid assisted living waiver. From the spacious apartments not found in facilities that take the Medicaid Assisted Living waiver to the many medical and other services that are included in your rent, it is a great value. Having 24-hour-a-day nursing available helps keep my brother healthy and cared for daily. The services available at Woodside Senior Living and the spacious apartments make it a wonderful and affordable choice for your loved one. It allows them to keep their independence longer with a good support system. Woodside has spacious 1-bedroom apartments with a living room, bathroom, full kitchen, refrigerator and a screened in patio. Most assisted living facilities will not even take a patient with the Assisted Living Waiver. If they do, often the patient must have paid 2-5 years privately at thousands of dollars per month before they will take them under the waiver. Most patients with Medicaid secondary cannot pay privately for one month, let alone years. Every other place I looked at had the equivalent of one room, typically without a refrigerator or kitchen for each resident. They are conveniently located, large one floor building on a large land parcel with beautiful grounds and a community outdoor patio area. They have many activities and social events that residents may participate in. There is a library, community computers, a little store, vending machines, etc. meals, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry services, medication administration, mobility, showering and bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and psycho-social programs available. Woodside has 24-hour-a-day nursing services which is comforting for assisted living residents who don’t meet a skilled level of care required in a nursing home but may still need some help. Nurses routinely check on each patient to help keep them healthy and head off any medical issues. Many medical services are on site such as nursing, physical therapy, etc. or providers such as podiatry come to the facility which is very convenient. They will take you to doctor appointments if needed. Woodside provides a resident call button and are immediately responsive when pressed. Because they have a large Medicare/Medicaid population, your loved one with this coverage will feel at home here and the facility helps in obtaining any available benefits that could help the resident. For example, they did the therapy and paperwork to help justify an electric wheelchair for my brother which was greatly appreciated. They can be flexible in accommodating special situations. When my brother moved there, they allowed him to stay in a spare room for a couple of days at a moment’s notice while the new flooring in his apartment was being finished. Since he had a manual wheelchair at that time, they delivered his meals to him until he got to his own apartment.
7/15/2024 Did a quick unannounced visit to the Woodside Assisted Living facility on Rockside rd. In Cleveland. It was a welcoming experience. We were just there to obtain information but the Assistant, Raydonna was very helpful with showing one of the rooms and answering our questions.
Woodside is an excellent choice as a Medicaid waiver facility in Bedford Heights
