I find the social workers and case workers to be very helpful even though Overworked! The nurses there in the assisted living are very good and caring. But the Director, Eugene Allen... I don't know what he is doing there... besides Nothing. He hides behind the female staff and takes no responsibility or initiative to do the right thing. They lost my mother's clothing... ALL OF IT! And the Director, Eugene Allen, could care less. She's been sitting in a rehab across the parking lot for almost a month with no clothing. The nurse aids at Allegria have been finding her clothing from those who passed away and left clothes there. Mr. Allen just keeps wasting time, passing me around to the female workers to answer for the problem and telling me to get my receipts together for THEM to get a dollar amount so THEY can buy her clothes afterwards. What a Joke! Otherwise, they should get someone more capable as a Director... maybe one of the women who already work there as this guy is Useless.

Woodhaven Cemetery would be a better name. Do not send your relatives to here unless you want to visit their grave in 3 months. Majority of the staff are rude and clueless.
I have a sister living at this facility. It is the worst! The food is mostly government surplus. Bologna sandwich on white bread for Sunday dinner today. Beer on noodles makes 'dinty more' look great. rarely services fresh salad or fruit-mostly jello, custard-no one could answer if sugar-free as sister & many other residents are diabetic. The furniture is so old drawers don't open/broken hinges. Boy Scouts built an outdoor table, but no chairs. Although they put up an umbrella for shade, it was not one designed for a facility-just home patio use so it blew over & never replaced. No water fountains nor water coolers-important for diabetics. This place needs HELP!
I have a 91 yr. old father at this facility. He was brought there after a fall, and determined that he need physical therapy to strengthen his muscles. He has been there for a week now and staff often will not return calls as to the status of my father. The facility was supposed to be "The Best In Suffolk" well in one week my father has caught Covid-19 and fallen out of bed. I hope that the next report is not a slip in the shower or a fall down the stairs. I would not recommend the facility.
I recently toured the assisted living side of the facility. It is not the nicest looking however, the staff was very genuine and nice. They have activities downstairs and I think that having a team that is engages and keeps the residents active is very important.
