Mice are a big problem here! They have been seen running thru the dining room on many occasions and in my father's apartment. When I addressed the problem with the director Sara, she told me "we have never seen a mouse in our kitchen". Did she really expect me to believe that mice run frequently through the dining room but don't go in to the kitchen?! The Needham Board of Health had to be brought in to get Wingate to act. Wingate looks nice but when you look closer, you realize that they care a lot more about making $$ than the residents.

Staff here is extremely personable and they do a great job caring for their residents. Building is always clean and comfortable, providing a home like feel while also keeping residents safe. Jose the activities director is an incredible person as well as the rest of his staff going above and beyond to engage the residents.10/10 would recommend
My mother has lived at Wingate in Needham for over 1 year, I can’t say enough about the staff and the Community. Everyone there cares about each Resident and their individual needs. I highly recommend Wingate!
Communication is the key in any successful relationship, and in the case with the Wingate staff, they exceeded my expectations in communicating with me about my sister‘s adjustment and her challenges and successes in adjusting to a memory care facility. Jose and his dedicated staff are upbeat, compassionate and empathetic when interacting with me and my sister. What I am most impressed with, is that when things don’t go smoothly for my sister, the staff, including the nursing staff are willing to work with me to find solutions to ease my mind and to help my sister be more comfortable. Their knowledge base regarding dementia is outstanding and most importantly I trust them.
Can’t say enough great things about the Neighborhood and Wingate Residences. I’m a private caregiver that assists a resident in the Neighborhood memory care community and the team is compassionate and attentive. Their memory care director and his team treats everyone with love and compassion. 5 stars all around!
