I don't even want to give it a star. I had an older friend go here for almost a month recently and the whole time she was there never asked her if she wanted a shower until the few nights before she left. She wasn't asked nightly if she wanted a snack or even checked on her if she was ok. She was getting up on. Her. Own. To use the restroom because no one would answer her call button she would wait at least 40 minutes before she decided she just needed to do it on her own. The staff was rude and insisted she wasn't allowed to walk with them even though she said she wanted to walk. If you love someone don't put them here. It engages me thinking about how people are treated there for longer periods.

In trying times in health care, staff at PHCC remain pleasant and work diligently to provide residents with quality care and respect. Staff many times go above and beyond their duty to provide for residents, even if that’s paying for things for less fortunate residents from their own pockets. Residents that don’t get many visitors or have any family, as well as those that do, staff makes sure they don’t do without or feel left out.
My mother was at Parkside and they were so kind and caring. The aids treated her with respect and she had a few favorites. They always have something going on to keep the residents feeling like they belonged and we're part of the family. When my mother passed, there were some aides and nurses that shed a few tears. I would recommend this facility. Special thanks to Bree, Carrie and Ricki to name a few.
My mother was there for rehabilitation to help her walk better. She was there for 20 days. Not only did they did nothing to help her walk better they lost her dentures and her glasses some of her clothes and her blanket. They also put her on medication to slow her down to make it easier for them. After the 20 days that her insurance would pay for they decided that she was to much for them to handle and she would have to leave. They refused to pay for anything that they had lost. What a shame that there are places like Parkside that take advantage of the elderly.
Our mother has been living here for over a year. We love the way they take care of our mother. They went out their way to help us when mom was in isolation to get the information to her that she was a great great grandmother. From printing the picture to making sure she understood the information. They always figure out how to help when a situation arises. Nurses always are polite and patient when we call for information. Staff is always smiling and friendly.
