Windsor Court is an amazing place with great energy and an amazing staff. My husband‘s grandfather Fred lived here for the last part of his life in the memory care unit, and every time we visited people knew who we were, and absolutely who he was. In the end, they were there for him, and gave us beautiful stories, and inside jokes that they shared with him. Most places that you think of where there is elder care, you might think of it being drab, but this place is full of life and there is always an activity going on. They dress up the corridor‘s and the decor there makes things feel homey and cozy. I definitely recommend this place for your loved ones and make sure you always be kind to the staff. Their job is not easy and they still find a way to do it with love.
Worked here for a year. Management was horrible it was embarrassing representing such a bad company as a caregiver and always receiving the backlash from family/friends of the wonderful residents when expectations weren’t met from higher management. Even got in trouble for reporting abuse to the admin and had to involve corporate in order for anything to be done. Management never changed and always held this secret animosity towards me. As far as to questioning me why i was standing in the right side of the supply room when when i was grabbing supplies!! Ridiculous & unprofessional they feed into gossip more than staff when the main concern should be residential care.
Do not recommend if your loved one gets hurt and needs a bandaid they do not have any staff there to care for even the smallest of medical needs nor do they assist completely with the blind my mother is very depressed and un happy there she is expected to pay all of her SSI money for a portion not even half of the studio room she has a bed with a night stand and then a room divider all pressed together against a wall her roommate has most of the studio as she was already in the room when my mom was placed there. I have spoke to staff multiple times but they don't do anything about the issue besides tell me they will look into it they don't contact me when my mom goes to the ER and a few times I have had to call there to whome I spoke to greeted our conversation with a very rude attitude multiple times so rude that It caught me off guard and because I had no idea why she was speaking to me in such a vial way I do not recommend you leave a loved one in the care of Windsor court palm springs my mother fell and had no way to get help from a nurse luckily her room mates tv was low enough for her to hear my mom crying for help the last who work there were to busy visiting with each other at the nurse station on a different floor the only way for a resident to let the nurse know they need assistance is when they nurse checks up on them or if they call from a button by the bed my mother fell in the bathroom so she laid there crying for help for a very long time before her room. Mate got up to find out where the noise was coming from its very disappointing to see the lack of empathy these places have its the end of these peoples journeys and not a single one of them should have to be uncomfortable or have their needs neglected or feel ignored by their cargivers I would like to add more since my mother called me tonight to tell me she thought she was having low blood sugar ( she's type 1 diabetic) She said she informed staff that she needed her blood sugar tested because she thought she was low and that the lady said ok but no one had came to test her so I called and informed them that my mother felt low and it was urgent that she be tested and if low because she's. Blind would need assistance finding sugar to eat to correct her blood sugar immediately or she could go into a diabetic coma the nurse informed me that the head nurse was on his way to her room at that moment I than called my mom back and waited on the phone with her for 45 minutes before deciding they were unreasonably ignoring her need during an emergency and I hung up with my mother. And called Windsor. Court back to which the head nurse answered and I had begun to explain to him what my problem was in a very calm manner only for him to hang up on me that is completely unprofessional and if u ask me pretty much neglect only they can test her blood sugar and she could easily fall into a diabetic coma in a few short minutes they knew she could die if they didn't respond quickly and yet it took them well over an hour to check I plan to speak with administration asap and have her moved they are so irresponsible and unprofessional it's unbelievable
My dad has been living in the memory care unit for quit a few years now and is very happy. I have nothing but good things to share about his care, the staff and his everyday life. I live in NY and have not been able to get out to see him for 3 1/2 years due to Covid. The staff has been additionally helpful and kind during this period. They truly care about every residents well being.
