White Oaks is an exceptionally calm, safe, caring and supportive residence for seniors experiencing significant memory loss. My mother has been living there for over a year, and her move to White Oaks has been a blessing to her and our entire family. Dani, the director, is involved, approachable, thoughtful, present, and extremely knowledgeable about her residents and her staff. She is candid about what her facility can and can not do, but always strives to listen, accommodate, and problem solve within the guidelines or regulations of a supportive care setting. All of the staff at White Oaks have been friendly, attentive and respectfully invested in the residents. I am especially appreciative of Irma, the lead CNA, in my mother's wing. She is highly-skilled, patient, kind, and calm. My mother, as well as the other residents in her wing trust her and are comforted by her. She treats the residents with dignity and helps them to maintain as much independence as possible. The head nurse, Lisa, is also a great asset to this facility. She knows her residents well and responds quickly to questions or needs. I have a high regard for her invested professionalism and completely trust that she is on top of my mom's medical and personal needs. Ale, the Activity Director, is also a great member of the White Oaks staff. She always has a smile and greeting for both residents and visitors. She works hard to keep her community members positively engaged and does so in healthy and meaningful ways. Overall, I cannot thank Dani and the White Oaks staff enough for taking care of my mom. Supporting the needs of our elder family members, even without the added challenge of dementia, takes much dedication, patience and oversight. While I wish that my mother did not need such a high level of attending, I am so grateful that she lives in such a compassionate and skillful place.

White Oaks has a very intimate feel to it which is very nice and home like which to me is very important for those battling dementia. Things are already confusing let alone having a large space to navigate. This is very important to me as a family member having a setting like this not having to deal with a massive facility even if supposedly fancier and nicer. My Mom is safe and comfortable and that is most important to me. This disease no matter what is never easy, but with the right staffing and help it can at least provide some peace of mind knowing she is comfortable and well looked after. White Oaks does a good job ensuring they are safe. Of course there is always room for improvement in regard to food and more staffing, but overall I am grateful my Mom is here.
My mother lived at White oaks memory care section for three years and I would visit very frequently and every time I would visit she was very happy, and always doing something in terms of activities, if there was ever a health issue i would be informed on what was happening and how they would proceed. The staff was always there for my mother and me if I needed information, the nurses were always on top of everything. The place was very clean and inviting, it was the perfect setting for my mother and her golden years Thank You everyone at White Oaks for being there for my mother
Every time I go to visit White Oaks it’s a very relaxing experience. The residents seem to be very content and are always busy with planned activities. The atmosphere of the building gives off a very calming effect the minute you walk in!
At first I thought White Oaks at Spring Street was a very nice place, but after my 93 year old mother was misdiagnosed and given a prescription that caused an allergic reaction, without the POA being consulted, I was not happy. Then later the family was given notice to remove her to another place because of a contagious infection. Read the fine print because your options are nil.
