Ok so let me first say that I'm only giving 4 stars because my mom only been there for a few days, fur rehab from a hospital discharge. It may go to 5 stars by the end of her visit, we shall see. Also...I haven't been on every hall, just the one she is on. So ...the facility is very well kept. It does not have the typical smell of urine, as most LTC facilities do, which is a welcome relief! The staff that I have interacted with have been helpful and friendly and seem to have a good sense of humor, which is needed in that environment. You know, sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. The mattress on the beds seem pretty cheap and generic and like they could cause pressure/bed sores pretty quickly so hopefully the patients are moving around enough to avoid that. If your family member is here for a long term stet, you may want to invest in a memory foam topper or better mattress, if allowed. Over all, if my mother is ever in this situation again, this will be the place I bring her, no question! I want the staff to know that they are appreciated! They have some of the most difficult, underpaid, under appreciated jobs ever! Thanks to everyone doing the hard, thankless work you do there!

Thank you to the incredible staff at Whispering Pines for the way you care for our residents. Thank you for making Christmas special for our residents; the residents are enjoying the thoughtful gifts you purchased. It warms my heart each and every time I see their smiles. Keep up the excellent work!
I am reading these GREAT reviews and just can't believe it. They had to ask the staff or friends to give good reviews because this places to horrible. My mom was a resident there for about six months. At one time they didn't have any running water. That meant residents couldn't wash their hands or flush the toliet. I ask for hand sanitizer they said we don't have any. It was disgusting. I constantly had to ask for paper towels and toliet paper for her restroom. One of those administrators lied to me stating they couldn't discharge my Mom until a ramp was built at my house. Told me they would come out and inspect. They just wanted her to stay so they could bill her insurance. You can hear the CNA's are constantly bickering. One time I went for a visit and there was blood all over the floor in Moms room and in the bathroom which was coming from my Moms roommate. WTH...I ask Mom when was the last time someone came in to check on her she said lunch time it was dinner time then. This facility need Medicaid/Medicare do a surprise visit. I feel sorry for our aging generation but what goes around comes around. The lady that deal with billing has the nastiest attitude. Just beware that old saying everything that shines is not gold.
This facility was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I had a chance view this facility and honestly it’s one of the nicest places. It smells nice and is very clean. On my tour I had a chance to meet the different department administrators and they were able to answer my questions. This was a very comforting feeling for me. I’m looking forward to working with this facility in the care for my mother.
Whispering Pines Nursing Home is a great place to work at. The administrator Katidra, is lovely and very supportive of all the employees. She always has an open door policy. Everyone from Century Care Management is always supportive no matter the issue present. The staff is very compassionate and understanding. I love being part of the team at Whispering Pines Nursing Home.
