Based on resident appearances, tiny bit concerned about the food and/or its service (lot of fruit salad prior to starchy) matching the fiber and caloric recommendations. My visits were late afternoons- other than a group that had a tight click of friends, most others seemed a lack of something to do. One guy was new and distraught, no one offered support other than myself during my afternoon to evening visit. The dining area is lovely and and there are some small areas to wonder but place fairly small. It would need extra organized activities here.. Residents while some seem wee restless , overall they seemed content. Great location near supermarket and shopping. I'd give this 3-3.5 star -more if it was larger and more walking about and goings on in some part or another or staff interaction.

Whispering Pines is a great community to bring your loved ones in and let them enjoy life with new friends they can meet during meals, activities and so forth. The managers are great and helpful, making the community truly feel like home
We had a great experience visiting this community! Our search is over, as my mom feels she's found her new home. EXCELLENT food experience and an overall comfortable atmosphere.
To the HEAD CHEF: my relative is a hard worker, don't bother nobody and does several different obligations in that kitchen especially on sundays. In the meantime give ppl actual time AND CONSIDERATION to clean the kitchen area. Btw, she's black just like you are **UPDATE: (before it gets deleted again) Do not work here or send loved ones to live here. it is VERY overpriced for the awful food & below average housing amenities. My relative worked here for only 4 months before A) Being called a racist name B) Work hours taken away from her due to "business influxes". C)The kitchen head chef lied on my sister not being paid for one of her days stating she never showed up; HOWEVER, she has proof she was clocked in for the specific shift/day before being told to leave We reached out to the head manager who further delayed actions of both events. beware of this head manager (S) and kitchen head chef(E) as they will definitely cover for each another
My sister and I spent quite a lot of time reading reviews and comparing retirement communities for our mother in order to make the right decision, so we felt it was important to take the time to write our own review for Whispering Pines Gracious Living. During the time our mother was at WP, the staff and management team could not have been more caring, kind and attentive with her. The staff checked on her regularly, encouraged her to participate in the many activities and kept in touch with us regarding any concerns on a weekly basis. In particular, I would like to thank Windy Read for going above and beyond to make mom feel at home and cared for. We would highly recommend WP and feel lucky our mom was a part of this community.
