Wheatfield Commons is a welcoming, friendly elder care assisted living facility. My mother resided there for over a year. She loved living there and considered it her home. She totally enjoyed the companionship of the other residents and the freedom to walk anywhere she wanted within the facility. She loved going outside and rocking in a rocking chair on the porch and engaging in conversations with others. From the first day she arrived, she met people she could easily talk to. The patio provided another shaded conversation area along with a garden tended to by the residents. The many daily activities kept her busy. She looked forward to the weekly bus trips to area museums, eateries, stores, and scenic drives. When visiting my mother, she would enthusiastically tell me about her trips and showed me the crafts/paintings that she did which were proudly hung in the halls. I found the entire staff to be warm and friendly both to Mom and to myself when I visited. All of her needs and wants were promptly attended to with compassionate care. I am very happy that we chose Wheatfield Commons as a residence for my mother. In my opinion, it is the BEST FACILITY in the Niagara/Erie County area.

When my Dad (Clare) moved in a few years ago he was a little overwhelmed with everything - from the ‘long walk’ to the dining hall to ‘apartment life.’ But with encouragement from Wheatfield Commons wonderful staff, and their willingness to work with him at his own pace, he quickly adjusted to his new environment and began enjoying life again. He often commented to us how everyone made him feel at home, including some good natured ‘ribbing’, which he enjoyed receiving as much as giving (🤣). He looked forward to Bingo and going to the dining hall where he and his table mates would solve the world’s problems (and maybe even create a few!). Although he slowed down over the last couple of years he remained positive, due in large part to his friends (both staff and neighbors) at WC. Time eventually caught up with him and late last week, at the impressive age of 96 (a month shy of 97!) he passed away peacefully in his sleep, with a smile on his face! Thanks to all the ‘family’ who cared for him at WC! And a special Thank You, Christine, for the care and compassion you and the entire staff have shown my Dad over the past few years. God bless!
I can't say enough good things about the care my Dad received at Wheatfield Commons Assisted Living. The leadership and staff are truly resident-centered and worked hand-in-hand with us as a family to make it the very best experience for him. Laurie, the Activities Director, is always looking for creative ways to make sure everyone's included. Christine, the Clinical Director, is a strong advocate for the resident as a patient and was a strong ally. Kathy, the Administrator, has created a compassionate environment and tirelessly maintains high quality of care. This is a model for dignified care. Bless you for all you do.
I brought my mom here from her assisted living facility in South Carolina in August. I have visited many facilities in SC and WNY and I was so impressed with the size of the rooms and family feel of the staff. They treated my mom like an MVP and I cannot say enough great things about Wheatfield Commons. ..from the 1st meeting of the staff and facilties to the care of my mom, comfortness of the room and even how they treated me during the passing of my mom, a real gem of wny.
My mom is in the memory care unit. The staff is kind and very attentive. The facility is clean and we'll maintained. I never thought I could trust someone else to care for my mom, but my family and I are extremely happy with the care they give to her. My wife's family were so impressed, when their dad wanted to move into assistant living, they choose Wheatfield Commons. Every issue that came up was quickly handled to everyone's satisfaction. We would not hesitate to recommend Wheatfield Commons.
