The Westwood Team of Case Managers and Social Workers have impressed me for the last 2 years starting with Barbara & Regine and most recently Kay & Sunny. As a previous Long Term Care Ombudsman of Alameda County & Community Relations Director for a handful of AL/MC communities and currently now a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), this is the team you should desire to have to ensure your loved ones experience a safe & smooth transition back to their homes or into a new safe, caring & loving environment.

Great admin peeps, Regine my brother’s case manager, SW Regina, the nurses and can’s working with my brother who is a current patient at the facility are all wonderful, hard working staff deserves all the appreciation and thanks. They listened and respond to the needs and questions you might have. They listen to suggestions. A very busy place but they make sure that their patients meet the medical needs and care. Yes! Will recommend!
I'm incredibly pleased with the care my 94-year-old mom has received at Westwood. The staff are compassionate and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The facilities are well lit and airy ; the lobby ,restrooms and hallways are cleaned and well maintained .The beautiful garden and seating area have been a wonderful place to take my mom out. We also enjoy taking her in a wheelchair for periodic walks around the block outside the facility, which is always a nice, safe experience. By choice, the family does the laundry , so the staff ensures that my mom changes into a fresh set of clothes each day. A special thanks to Laleta Khan for her exceptionally competent support and guidance in convincing me to move my mom to Westwood. I also wanted to recognize some of the staff who have been so kind in making my mom comfortable at Westwood. Her fabulous CNA's , Lizbeth , Mehebelet, Miguel , Leslie, Jason and others , the supervising nursing staff ,Eileen , Ashley, Ruffa, Yada and others. Regine , (nursing case manager),Sunny ( social worker), Rachel and Ruby ( dieticians)and many others. I have no hesitation in saying I highly recommend Westwood .
I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Westwood’s caring staffs and competent professionals. My friend, Tom, had been to different faculties prior to Westwood and could not stay even more than a week. To my surprise, it has been almost two years since he moved here. Sometimes he can be a challenging resident, but people here always treat him with respect and patience especially Nurse Shiela, Ashley, CNA Jasson, Monica, and Maintenance Romon. There are many other people that I cannot list their names one by one here 😊 I thank you all for your kindness and dedication to make Westwood such a wonderful place for us.
My name is Denise Salisbury and my mom Elinor Nishi stayed at Westwood off and on for 2 years before she passed in July of this year. She loved everyone and everything about Westwood! Activities with Cynthia and her staff playing bingo were her favorite things to do at Westwood! All the staff we came across felt like family to her. The wound care folks, front desk receptionist that are no longer there, Andrea, RNs, CNAs and LVNs treated her with loving care! Regine Aquino did anything and everything for my mom even if it was not her job! Regine went above and beyond and i appreciated every little thing she did for us. If I ever needed anything she was there. Beth Policarpio who was in charge of the CNAs took care of things if we had any problems with anything my mom needed, I felt very supported and I could contact her anytime. Lalita Khan the admissions director always made a place for my mom when she would be in and out of the hospital. My mom would tell Kaiser she would not be released from the hospital unless she would go back to Westwood. I would call Lalita and she would figure out how to get Elinor back to Westwood. Lalita took the time to bring my mom a piece of cake because she was upset that she could not attend a party that was for staff and my mom felt she should of been part of the party! She would always visit Lalita in her office while she was going out to her appointments. Lalita always took the time for my mom. Roxanne Luistio took the time to help me with all the financial questions I had and she was wonderful. Star, Silvia, and Magnolia treated my mom so fantastic! Other CNAs as well, there were so many that helped her. I just want to say a big thank you and I appreciate and I was very grateful that my mom had the support she needed, and a loving environment while she was at Westwood!
