Someone new took over the place and the quality of living For these incredible Men our veterans isn’t as good as it used to be. The food quality has went downhill quite a bit in the last year, they got rid of the salad bar they used to have and they don’t serve them decent meals ,it’s mostly just processed food that makes older men like that sick to their stomach’s I know it does my fathers. It’s just very disappointing to see a place like that go down because they’re taking care of our heroes so I would not recommend this place to your loved ones.

Had to jump through hoops to get there. They put me on the women’s floor. But, my room had blinds that most of them were missing. And the guy living below me had his music so loud I could hardly sleep at night. I ask management to talk to him about it, they did, but he just ignored them. Also, the smoking was terrible. They are not allowed to smoke in the rooms and you can smell it everywhere in the building. The cafeteria food was awful. They had an ice cream machine, but I avoided it like the plague. It didn’t look clean. This place is great if you are an old veteran and can hardly take your medication with supervision. I stayed there because at the time I had no place to go. But, before the beginning of the month I found a place and left. They say you can save your money for 60 days and then you pay half of what you get from the government after that. I left as soon as I could due to the loud noise. It was like living next to a movie theater at night. There were other rooms for the men, so I don’t know if the noise problem affected them. But as a female veteran and not having a lot of choices of rooms I couldn’t move to another room. I asked, but management didn’t want me to move me. There was rooms available, but it seemed they didn’t care. Also, they said I could have a toilet and a shower in my room, but was a lie. I had to share a bathroom with another lady. The ladies on the floor were nice. It was the creep men at the place that made me feel uncomfortable. Great if you are a man, but terrible if you are a woman. Only go here if you have too.
To the Receiving Department.. Bravo, Bravo. It takes more than skill to do that job. Dedication, devotion, they very lucky to have such a great receiving section. That in takes housekeeping, kitchen, furniture, and all donations. And they do.it with a smile. Happy to have dropped 11 huge bags of nice men's clothing.
For them it is all about the vet. They bunk 2 to a room ., after 2 months you can have cable in your room.they feed them some great foodeveryone we know got huge.they have a lot of activities both there and off campus.you only have to stay 3 notes a week, if you have a sweetie.
I love this place. It is more than a veteran's home. It is my home as well. Great staff who really cares for veterans. Great food. Clean. Friendly. Home!
