I have been a resident of West River Health Campus Legacy unit(memory care) for 8 months. Although moving to legacy was quite an adjustment, I have found it to be a most helpful, loving, and caring home. The staff treat you with courtesy, sincere interest in your problems and make you feel “One of the Family”. Activities include exercise, art, cooking, book readings and reviews, word games, paddle pong, and pool ball soccer. The food is healthy, colorful and plentiful. Megan the Director plans interesting Friday bus tours and eat outs. We have own private courtyard with flowers, plants, and vegetables. A great place to call home!!

Was at West River in April 2025 for physical therapy for a leg injury. My one and only goal was to get back home and to my normal daily routine as fast as possible. The therapists that worked with me at West River made that their goal for me as well. They worked me hard daily and I was able to meet my goal in less than 2 weeks. From the nurses to the housekeepers to the dietary department I have nothing but positive things to say. I would highly recommend West River to anyone needing inpatient therapy. I would also highly recommend their cheeseburgers to anyone as well🍔
My grandmother just recently stayed here and absolutely loved it. The staff was very compassionate, knowledgeable, friendly and took care of all of her needs in a timely manner. The physical therapy team did an amazing job getting her rehabilitated and on her way to a speedy recovery. Her case manager made sure she was sent home with everything she needed to be successful and safe after rehabilitation.
Great workers in the Memory Care Unit! My mother-in-law thinks she’s at home. All the staff is so sweet with her! We had moved her to another facility and she did not like it there, nor did we. So glad we were able to move her back to West River!
My family member has been at the facility since November 22. She was sent after a two week hospital stay for rehabilitation and help in dealing with her recent cognitive issues (dimentia). The past three weekends family has arrived to find her food delivered but unwrapped and set off to the side. She is supposed to be listed as unable to feed herself without help or prompting. Recently a decision was made to send her to the dining room for every meal but we find this isn't happening consistently. The facility seems to lack communication and staff. We have had multiple conversations with the director about these issues. It was even discussed in a meeting with family, director, therapist and social worker that our family member needs 24/7 care and we thought a plan was formed and to be followed. Today we get there at 1030 and she's in bed (nbd) but her breakfast is off to the side unwrapped and obviously untouched. A gentleman across from us has his help light on, it apparently had been on awhile to the point he was banging on his bed and yelling at visitors to come help him...anyway Chris goes looking for somebody about breakfast and finds the social service worker and brings her down...we told her our concerns and she basically shrugged them off. We told her we wanted to contact the ombudsman and she just scoffed and smirked and said go ahead.
