I made the decision to move back to Rockford after living in the Chicago area for over 60 years. I was sad about leaving friends, routines and an area I loved. And experienced a great deal of stress and anxiety when making the decision. Once I visited Wesley Willows, I knew it was a setting I would be comfortable in. It started with a very kind resident who gave us a spontaneous tour of much of the facility and introduced us to residents we met along the way. It continued with the support, accommodations and availability offered by Collin as I went through the process of applying for admission and the actual move here. I found my new neighbors very welcoming and available to help if needed. And it continues with help offered by staff, maintenance and the residents on the welcoming committee, gift shops, front desk and the list goes on! I absolutely made the right decision.

Buying in to Wesley Willows independent living is the best decision my husband and I made. The grounds and the homes are professionally maintained by a friendly staff of people. There are so many amenities and events so it is about living your best life. Too much to write about.
We did a final walk-through before signing all the papers and writing the big check. The first thing we noticed was how expertly the walls had been patched and painted. Awesome! The other improvements we had requested were done exceptionally well, especially the room in the basement. One issue did arise: an area of the floor creaked where it hadn't on previous walk-throughs. It was attended to promptly. During the first few days of living there, a few other issues arose. The washing machine did not work properly, for example; within an hour, we had a new replacement. Ramon was the person who responded to our needs. A great guy, he solved problems quickly, even a few we weren't aware of. A move-in is always accompanied by headaches. Not this time; it was remarkably smooth. It was a good beginning.
My parents have been living in independent living at Wesley Willows for just over 3 months. Despite the limitations COVID has created their move in went smoothly and my parents are happy and comfortable. In talking to others whose parents are in a similar situation I feel Wesley Willows has worked very hard to keep their residents happy, healthy and safe while still offering them a little freedom within their building. The facilities are absolutely beautiful and well maintained, it very impressive.
I have lived here 4 yrs. and feel that moving to Wesley Willows was a wonderful choice. All my neighbors here are very friendly and we consider each other family. There are many activities both on campus and off-- next week Wesley Willows activity dept is taking me, and others, to the Olympic Tavern for lunch. On campus there is a large heated pool,. walking track and machines. There are trainers available to us. I often enjoy a meal at our excellent Bistro. I can't begin to tell all the activities and opportunities available to the residents.
