My mother recently completed a three month stay at Wellmore and there are not enough words for me to express my thanks and appreciation to the staff for the care they took of my mother. Everyone was extremely kind, patient and attentive during my mom’s stay. I had complete peace of mind that she was being taken care of when I could not be present. This past year my mom had been in and out of several facilities due to her health, and I’m not sure she would still be here had it not been for the care she received at Wellmore.

By far the most outstanding experience we have had with any long-term care facility. Both of our parents required more care than our family could provide and needed everything from rehab to Assisted Living and in my dad’s case, Skilled Nursing in the final years of his life. We transferred our dad from another facility in Charlotte to Wellmore and the care was so superior at Wellmore it cannot even be compared. The team at Wellmore was friendly, capable and professional and met all of his changing needs. They had numerous activities he could attend when he arrived. They keep their residents busy and entertained with bingo, movies, games, music and song-alongs, art projects and exercise classes. They have special spirit weeks and special events - casino nights and even a country-type event where they brought in goats. They celebrate Veteran’s Day and had a Mardi Gras party. Countless activities to keep their minds and bodies engaged. When my dad became too ill to leave his room, they made sure to bring the entertainment to him. He passed last week at 95 and Alyssa brought a visiting violinist to his room to play his favorite songs for him. Another key difference at Wellmore is their staffing. Unlike some other facilities where our parents stayed, Wellmore was staffed to be able to respond to him when he needed help. We counted, and between bringing his food, medications, and meeting his other needs, he could have someone in his room at least a dozen times a day. I wish I could single out the names of all the people who went above and beyond but there are too many. Keisha, Tyranna, Sharon, Alyssa, Kathy at the front desk, Virginia whose office was across the hall from his room - those are just a few of the many. Everyone we interacted with from a nursing, CNA, and administrative perspective was outstanding. They seem to enjoy their jobs and they work well together, and they stay incredibly busy with no complaints. Finally, you can learn a lot about a facility when they don’t know you’re listening. My dad had a habit of calling me on speaker and leaving his phone on his chest. On more than one occasion helpers came in and were kind and helpful not knowing I could hear their interactions. The Wellmore team took great care of our dad and we highly recommend them for your loved one.
My Dad stayed at Wellmore’s rehab facility last year and received amazing care there. He was suffering from complications from prostate cancer, and the staff took wonderful care of him. Lorrie helped us get our Dad at Wellmore and we are so grateful, it was a godsend to my siblings and I to have him there. We are very thankful to everyone at Wellmore for their kindness to our Dad.
My name is Chere Dunn and my husband Vaughn is a resident at Wellmore, Tega Cay. I first visited Wellmore in August of 2024. When I arrived I was greeted by Cathy. She made me feel so welcomed. Then I was interviewed by Kaitlyn who is sokindand very inviting,warm and calmed my anxious feelings , explained all info clearly and did not rush what a wonderful caring young lady. Willing to walk the extra mile for anyone. Then there is Virginia, Allyssa, Shakeitha, Tarrona,Nessa, Tyra, Elizabeth and so so many more that take care of my husband and are so very kind to me. I have a peace of mind that I have not experienced before now when I return home and leave him in their care.
