I have to say, Rich could not have made it any easier for my parents to make this very big and somewhat overwhelming decision to give up their home and go to assisted living. They have many resources available to make the transition as easy as possible. I look forward to seeing my parents enjoy more time to relax, with meals provided and much less housework. This place is horrifying. STAY AWAY. After much searching, we brought our beloved mother there to live in their memory care unit with the promises of three meals a day, social activities, daily medications given on time, and prompting hydration. She was there for a total of 2 weeks before she began falling (we later found out from extreme dehydration). Staff lied about her care, she sat in dirty underwear, had ants in her BED, had not received her important medications, was LEFT IN HER ROOM for all but two mornings of breakfasts, as well as ignored in her room (no food, no checking on her) until 4 pm on two instances! She eventually fell and despite having fall alarms in her room on top of promised hourly checks, she lay there until we reported her fall via a ring camera (she had been on the ground for 2 hours at that point). She ended up in the hospital that day and did not survive. Excuse after excuse from these people, blaming being 'short-staffed' for her lack of care. Honestly, people, if you were short-staffed, why on EARTH would you keep taking in residents? I am utterly disgusted at this hell hole and would beg people to stay away! Our parent is dead, and we are heartbroken. Just a glance at the nearly 50 violations this facility has on the OR department of Human Services page should send one running elsewhere for their loved ones needs. *Please continue to read the 1 star reviews to better understand how they are getting so many 5 star reviews!
Don’t do it! Stay away! If you love your senior find another place this place killed my mom in less than three weeks. We brought our sweet Vibrant mother to Weatherly Court to spend her senior years in what we thought would be great care but instead, we got nothing we were promised. Her care plan specifically stated she needed to be fed at a certain time and take her meds at that time because they had to be taken with food. They did not even bother to wake her up for breakfast or even try to get her morning meds in her. They said they would check in on her every two hours they never did. We found our mom on the floor for over 2 1/2 hours before Someone even answered the phone at the nurses station to go check. I called five times and left messages, but nobody returned my call or even went in to check on my mom.. they told me they have way too many residence to spend the extra 15 minutes to get my mom up out of bed and get her in for breakfast, they said they would bring her breakfast in her room if she didn’t get up but they never did. Several times they never even got her out of her room till well after 12 o’clock, which means she missed breakfast and breakfast meds, and she most likely hadn’t had anything to drink since the night before. After looking at the surveillance camera we had in her room. We noticed dozens of inconsistencies in her care plan, on one instance, the nurses staff were appalled. They found ants in her bed.. Several times in the middle of the night, she would get up and wander around, trying to figure out where she was, and nobody even came in to check on her. I’m so absolutely disgusted with this place in the care for my sweet mom. I beg everyone please find someplace that will give your mom or dad the care they deserve! This place may be beautiful on the outside, but they only care about your monthly Rent payment. They even went so far as to take all the meds I brought in for my mom and throw them away and charge us for their meds.. In the end, my mom spent three weeks there as they slowly let her die from dehydration and confusion from not getting her meds. They Did not change her depends daily, Or even encourage her to brush her teeth.. Please, I beg you do your due diligence and stay far away from Weatherly Court In Medford, Oregon
My Father, JB, was brought to this facility from a rehab facility for hospice. WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! First, The facility and his room look high quality, clean & reasonably priced. The other facility was dated & dirty for a fairly similar rate. The other facility also had staff that did not seem to care. It was horribly managed. Our first day there, I asked 4 people about how lunch would work for my father. I got a complete different answer from each person. The staff here at weatherley is amazing! Everyone has a great attitude and most importantly, for me, A great bedside manner! They seem to really care. I have been working with lisa and what a great experience. I highly recommend this facility if you are in a similar situation. Greg Gallagher
This is a very wonderful place, I have been very grateful for the people that work at this community! And they are extremely helpful and supportive! They care for the people that live there. This is a wonderful environment!!
