Attempted to contact multiple people to determine what services may ba available for an elderly parent in the local community including interim home health services while waiting for referrals from their PCP and various Medicare questions related to post discharge from a local nursing care facility. One Coordinator did answer the phone but said there was a really long waiting list for home health services. The other Coordinator I was referred to did not return my calls over a three day period. The last time I called, I could not leave a voice message because their mailbox was full. I also went to the facility on Ashley Street twice in person requesting assistance and was referred back to the coordinator not returning my calls. People were very nice. There just were not many staff members knowledgeable about senior services available in the local area or knowledgeable about Medicare related questions. Also, the organization's internal service seem to be understaffed, underfunded, and very limited. The concept is amazing, but there seem to be several limitations.

They loaned me a knee scooter scooter since I fractured my foot. Very nice and helpful.
This review was for the Peggy Seegars Center. Got there at the appointment time and went to fill out a volunteer application but staff are not friendly. The only friendly guys were in the pool room. That is where the action is.
I have been attending a Tai Chi class. It is a very small class but I liked it that way I think it gave the instructor more time to be one on one with each one of us. I heard that the senior center is going to fully open this coming week if I heard it right. I only gave them 4 stars because they have so many classes in the morning and for people like me who have muscle and joint problems especially first thing in the morning and or have to take pain medicine before they can get going that I have been unable to attend until they opened up the class at 2 p.m. which I'm very glad about. It is a very nice building. Plenty of parking. Good location.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
