My Mom was there a few years. She was loved by your staff. The staff had told me they thought my Mom was amazing throughout her time there but they were there to let her know that they loved her when she was at the end. My Mom has been at Waterview Villa for a number of years. I can't say enough about the long term staff. They are wonderful. They not only care for her needs but they shower her with affection. My sisters and I call the social director, Barbara, our 4th sister. She dresses up and visits each room on holidays. One of my mom's CNA, Sonya, does moms hair in the cutest top knots. I have recently gone through a difficult time and been unable to see Mom on a regular basis. Barbara sends me pictures and updates that are an incredible comfort to me. The staff can be proud of the wonderful work that they do.
Waterview Villa has been a godsend for my mother. The staff is loving, attentive, patient, and kind to residents. In spite of sometimes being understaffed like most nursing homes in America, staff works so hard to make sure residents are clean and comfortable. I spend ) of time there, so I see this first hand. Staff contacts me right away if my mom isn't well. In addition, the activities department is absolutely amazing, creative and fun! I don't know how Barbara does it! The activities are fun and I've been in many, many nursing homes, and putting my mother in a home was the hardest decision of my life, but it turned out to be the best place for my mom. Special shout out to activities staff Suzanne for being extra wonderful to my mom and others! Food is yummy too! I am so very thankful for Waterview.
Everyone at Waterview Villa is caring, compassionate, and takes time to make everyone feel welcome who walks through the door. My experience with Barbara each year is one of true compassion. She treats everyone in her care as if they are family. I would feel comfortable knowing she and her colleagues were taking great care of my loved ones if I was unable to.
My sister is a resident and here room has been consistently over 85 deg for over a week in this hot weather. We have complained to the staff with no resolution to the issue . She is is tremendous pain and she has to be subjected to in humane conditions. We also complained to their corp office Athena with no response we reaching out to the state’s elderly affairs. They have no issue taking her money but not care for their residents.
