I first came to know about Watermere through a friend whose mother was in residence. My parents were living in California and during a Christmas holiday I took them by to see Watermere. They were previously adamant about not moving to Texas, but after seeing the grounds, the amenities, the community and the golf, they made the move to Watermere. Watermere was is a first class community and what makes it so special is all the people. Even while my father was getting medical care at Discovery Village, we stayed at his residence in Watermere and had the full support from not only the staff at Watermere, but the amazing community of residents. It was the best of the best for my parents. Thank you Watermere!!

This is a review for the Skilled Nursing Rehab floor, my mother spent a few weeks there, over 2 visits. This was a few years ago, around 2017-2018, but it was terrible place to leave a loved one. The facility is beautiful, but the aides are not caring people, and they do not want to do their job. I found one sleeping in the hallway one night while my mom was left with a nebulizer mask on for 45 minutes (should be a five minute treatment). They don't answer the call buzzer of the patients, and they don't answer the phone when you call. The doctor back then was bad as well. My mother told them she was slapped by an aide during a disagreement, and the doctor tried to talk me out of reporting it because "no one would believe her, because of all of the medications we are giving her"... check the Medicare ratings, do not be fooled by the pretty building.
This facility is beautiful. Well maintained and the staff is above reproach.
Update 5-13-24 they have new kitchen management and the food is now very good. Congratulations to the staff at Watermere.
Great place for all stages of life. Very nice staff and very new facilities for nursing care , new condos, homes. Perfect for multi-generational families.
