Today I was released from my Administrative Assistant Position that i was making $16 an hour. I would have to say that the staff I worked with was amazing and the Seniors that live there. The Management is very rude and hostile, and I was treated like a child. I was replaced behind my back with someone ( snake move) and released right before Christmas. There is no heart in management and it's all a show with two faced, backbiting, and an all about "Me" personality. Management could not EVER make clear or precice decisions on the most simple tasks. I would never work for this company again. Today I told Management I did more than 10%, in fact I did 90%!!. Its sad a company would treat employees this way. The other employees were very proud that I stood my ground and stood up to managenent, and it's just a matter of time they too will walk out and they are all looking for new employment. I know allot of people in this valley and word gets around fast in a small town.

Its a great place to live. There’s a center that serves lunch. Plus meals on wheels. So many activities to join in. I love to dig in the dirt. Each residential building has a green house with raised beds so you can grow vegetables and flowers. WASI living is busy or simple and quite. 😊 Life is a blessing!
I was there last night for a weekly meeting. This large senior community housing area is very well-maintained and kept completely clean. It is a restful, peaceful community with attractive, well-maintained buildings, adequate parking for residents, workers, and visitors, and even large, comfortable meetings in some, if not all of, the residential buildings. All Covid procedures are in place. The parking areas are kept clean. There is even an inviting short nature walk through a small wooded area between the living areas and a busy road.
Wonderful atmosphere. The adoring residents nod and smile all the time. Great conversations with my friends on Tuesdays when I visit sometimes I bring my children. Sit and eat or take it home, I always enjoy myself when I go there.
Being new to Wasilla one of the first places that sought out. For years we have been supporters and members of the Chugiak Senior Center and enjoyed its activities. So we were eager to find and explore the WASI. It is one of the largest senior living spaces that we’re have encountered anywhere in the State. It has several different senior living buildings, a park, garden area with a greenhouse and an activities building. The activities building is the center of administration and many activities that they provide for all area seniors whether a resident in one of the senior residence buildings or living in the area. They provide a cafeteria style lunch program from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday through Friday except holidays. They provide a varied healthily menu that changes daily. The also provide a baked chicken breast every day as an option if you don’t want the main entree. A donation of $6.00 for members per meal is appreciated. You can also get the daily meal as a carry-out if like or for a spouse or living partner that didn’t come to lunch. They operate the Meals on Wheels program for those that can’t come are house bound or they provide a bus to pick you up and return you if you request it. They provide bus services for shopping and appointments for a modest fee. They have Sunday worship services and a Bible Study group. They have a gym, library with computers and WiFi. The provide several different exercise programs, crafts, and other topics of interest and education. They have a small beauty shop. They prepare and pass out senior living boxes to eligible seniors. Please keep in mind my wife and I have been members for only two months and still learning much about center. One of the greatest benefits of the center is meeting and sharing conversations with other seniors outside your home and support to seniors housebound. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The publish a monthly menu and activities calendar, operate a website and social media sites so you can keep up with their activities. They provide a valuable service to all seniors in the Mat-Su area from Wasilla to Houston. They have two satellite locations that provide services that we haven’t visited yet.
