Very nice, super nice hospitality and the food was very good. Parking space available. Children can also play outside.
A nice little hidden restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the birds chirping. The food was very tasty. Price-performance is really great. There is also a small playground with a baby swing. Hiking trails also lead past here. Absolutely recommended.
Even after many years in the Palatinate, you continue to discover quality pearls, like the Waldgaststätte Schützenhaus, or as my wife said, “That was really tasty!”. In addition to the taste quality of the food, which was lovingly prepared and also visually appeals to the guest, we would like to emphasize the friendliness in the service area. The beer garden offers sunny, shady and wind-protected places depending on your needs. Visitors with children will also find tables right next to the small playground. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming here more often from now on.
Very hidden... It was a bit of a "scavenger hunt" but it still worked. We were able to enjoy the last rays of sunshine outdoors. There were many hikers present today, but also families with children. For them it is a real paradise, as the children have a large playground with plenty of space to run around. The menu is traditional and tailored to the guests. So you can also order the normal dishes as a small portion with a deduction... I don't like to say seniors' plate 😉. I had liver dumplings with cabbage and bread and I have to say that I haven't enjoyed them so deliciously in a long time. Even in this rather rustic place there were particularly fine wines. Must be because of the region... A sign tells you that there is a particularly friendly self-service here... Luckily it wasn't too full, but there was still a risk of being jostled when carrying out the food and drinks, as the ordering and paying area is very narrow. The landlord and the staff are very friendly... We were able to enjoy the last rays of sunshine with really delicious food, but without the sun it quickly became very cold. This is a particularly lovely spot when the city gets uncomfortably warm in the summer.
