When the place was Summit Estates, it was fine (as seen in all the dated photos). After the ownership change to Volante, the quality of care declined drastically. Had to move my mother from unsafe, actually dangerous and criminal, conditions. There are far better options nearby... reconsider placing your loved one there.

I do NOT recommend this place. My uncles condition has declined exponentially since coming into this residence. They do not pay attention to residents at all. We are constantly having to double check everything for. Making sure he is fed to getting the correct medication. It is a running joke among families that the nurse in charge takes about 5 calls to get ANY response. One of the managers told us they knew that the staff was horrible and their care was way below standards and actually referred us to another facility!
This facility is not worth the cost. We have had serious issues over the last 2.5 years. We had to turn them into the licensing board. I know many families are very unhappy with the subpar care and lack of staffing. These reviews don’t seem real. They changed the name recently due to horrible reviews and all of a sudden had a ton of great ones show up. In this families opinion that is unethical. This facility doesn’t take care of the residents, I have to come in every few days to make sure my grandparent is being tended to- I had to find missing items, make sure the room got cleaned (it rarely is done), make sure they were getting her to eat, make sure meds were given, make sure the nurse put in the medication requests (took 3 months to get meds). This is where you send your “mother in law” that you don’t want to be bothered with- not someone you love! We are looking at moving the care is so horrible and spending thousands to do so.
As a first time experience for assisted living I was very impressed and pleased with the facility. The staff was very welcoming, I felt heard and reassured that my concerns for care would be met to the best of their abilities. The communication overall was great and in a timely manner. The building was clean and organized. I can’t thank Summit Estates enough for the service they provide for our loved ones and persons in our community.
Do not place your loved one in their care. They are not responsive. They do not follow through on promised care. There is constant turnover. The food is mediocre. The panic button is used for everything. They cannot distinguish between an emergency or another issue, so response time is increased. They take medication out of patients’ rooms without permission and then administer it incorrectly. The supervising nurse is rude. The trash is often not picked up. The rooms are not cleaned well. The doors to the front are open all night and no one is at the front desk. The electricity goes out too often and they don’t check on the residents that are on oxygen. I do not recommend this facility.
