This is a wonderful facility across the road from a beautiful park and river. We looked at this place for my aunt and was so impressed with the thoughtfulness of the design. ALL of the apartments are very large with separate bedrooms and handicapped bathrooms . The staff are very friendly and eager to help. I think the best surprise was the beautiful courtyard in the middle of the building with the waterfall and koi pond. We ultimately chose the apartment at the VNA's Lowell Street location which is just as great and had an immediate available apartment for my aunt. The best part was that the visiting Nurses were right on site so they could take keep a close eye on her and provide the physical therapy she needed. She loved it there and stayed until she passed, peacefully and surrounded by the people who loved her.

My MIL lived at VNA Senior Living Community alewife , for 7 months, the Nurse aides were wonderful, the activities were non stop, the Nursing Staff watched over her- Judy, RN was so caring and thoughtful. the experience was positive , and if she did not need a higher level of care at this time, we would not have moved her . This place should be shut down . Dangerous place do not bring your love ones here. Do not live up to what they promise. Mom got sick in the night and we had to call 911 staff left mom alone when she was sick having a emergency . Food is subpar. Promise wifi does not work in apartment. To many bad things to list. Stay away . State needs to investigate.
Dear Friends, I have 99 neighbors and I love all of them. To explain, I live in one of the Visiting Nurse Association of Eastern Mass. Assisted and Senior Living Residences. Most of us are in our senior years. All of us have medical issues that require us to be here, at our residence and need assistance. My friends, though we have lived with the passing of close friends and closer family members, we truly live each day to the fullest. We eat our meals together, participate in the group activities that our residence provides and we even have a 6pm card game. All of us have known loss but, we continue and go on with our sometimes broken lives. My fellow residents, who are genuine friends, know God, know friendship and we absolutely know love. Yes, my fellow residents at VNA Assisted Senior Living on Alewife Brook Parkway in Somerville, Mass. are truly the “Best Neighbors and Friends” anyone could ever have! With sincerity, love and gratitude, Evelyn Pinto Resident, VNA Assisted and Senior Living Residence 405 Alewife Brook Parkway Somerville, Mass. 02144 #LoveYourNeighborhood
Beautiful, clean, very spacious apartments and more importantly, kind and accommodating nursing (Judy, Linda and many more) staff here. From front desk, (Peter, Joanne and Crystal) Office manager, Cindy, Activity Director, Lin, and Ana and business office, Yveline have all been so helpful and a pleasure to work with this year. Thank you to all!
