2701 Lake Alfred Rd, Winter Haven, FL 33881, United States
This place is in need of a full upgrade including staff. The wall, floors, window seal, Ac unit, etc.. paint peeling off the walls, floor was disgusting, rubber gloves just everywhere as you can see. Patients drawers where not organized. My grandfather had other patients clothing on when visiting we would ask the staff seem to be clueless. It seems to me like there is no cleaning done. Garbage bins as you can see no bags properly place. Remote control to control bed was disgusting as well as bed frame along with rust. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you are desperate. I recently had my grandfather there and his surrounding where not the greatest. I am not sure where some of these 4 to 5 star ratings are coming from but can only assume they have to be employees. Also staff seem to care very little for there patients. It seem like there just doing a job to get paid, but no passion in what they do. The Social worker in charge is all over the place, her office has paper scattered everywhere in her office is no wonder why she would ask for the same documentation after being provided to her several times. Just very unorganized. Wish I would have taken picture of the bathrooms, even worse. I am glad my grandfather was only here for a few months.

I don't eve know where to start ZERO stars is more appropriate. DO NOT send your loved ones here, they will be mistreated if they have any level of cognitive disability. The bathroom has black mold the bedding isn't cleaned when needed. My father was left in shorts or no pants at all when it was 45 degrees outside with no heater on in the room. When we transferred my father to a new facility very he was sent in clothes that didn't belong to him with holes all over them. We got less than 1/3 of his actual belongings even though they were all labeled. Medications changed with out advising the family. I will be filing formal complaint's with government agencies. Please if you care about your family avoid this place.
People come here and see a 30+ year old building. It had been neglected until 2 years ago.The rooms are cleaned everyday. But people constantly make messes, and break things too. Some peoples beds need to be changed 3 times a day, being bed rides.could you do it? I have been an employee at the facility for over a year. These places go through alot of employees. It takes a special kind of person to take care of the handicaped and disabled and be kind to them, even when they are difficult. The employees are for a good part, residents family. Many residents are my friends, I enjoy making their day a little less empty. A minister said to Me,"these people are the abandoned." They may be to the World. But not by these people. Not by Me.
The therapy staff is excellent especially Gerard Andrew Sarah and short blonde lady I can't remember her name. There were also some very good CNAs including Jackie and Vivian. Other than that the care here is absolutely terrible i've been here over 70 days and I've been left sitting in my BMS many times for an hour and a half to 2 hours even though they were well aware of the fact that I need to changing and a food service is very poor. While I was there the air conditioning and the main gym was broken for at least 2 months some of the halls air conditioning was broken and I have three ice makers in the building that have not worked the entire time I spent in this facility there are a lot of maintenance needs that you can see or not being taken care of staying ceilings missing light fixtures too many things to list this place is a pit I want to send my worst enemy here and yet I spent 70 days here because I had no choice
I would like to know why it is so impossible to get a hold of a nurse that is caring for a gentleman I care for. I called at 4:00 this afternoon and finally someone answered the phone and said that the nurse that was caring for him was not available at the time and she took my phone number and said she would return my call. It is now 7:20, no return call and no one answers their phones there! How do you run a rehab facility like this?
