Visiting Angels recently started services for my mom, who lives in Harvard. She loved her caregiver, Janet that had been assigned to her. She was very professional and kind. She listened to my mom’s needs and provided Excellent care. Shari, the care coordinator for Visiting Angels, did the original assessment right after Christmas. Shari made both my parents feel very comfortable and is very conscientious about the match of Caregiver that she makes to their clients. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels of Crystal Lake.
I have always enjoyed jobs where I serve people. Visiting Angels is a great opportunity to do just that. In the process I have met all sorts of interesting people. Besides helping them with daily living, just keeping them company is a great pleasure. Asking about their life experiences opens the door to what I call "living history books". And I provide for them the help and companionship that they really need. Sometimes they don't even realize their isolation but if you do it right it's really good for them and yourself. Don't get me wrong, there is work, but the joy of helping is great.
Visiting Angels is a beautiful non-medical home care organization in McHenry County. I highly recommend their services to local seniors who could use some extra assistance. Kay, the marketing coordinator, is very knowledgeable in senior care and very active in the senior community. It warms your heart to see such dedication!
