I was recently visiting this community and noticed the excitement as they were filming new television commercials. The staff and residents were all thrilled to see what was happening and the filming crew was extremely polite to everyone. I even overheard one resident saying that it was the most fun he had in the entire year. I was able to walk the community and see the amazing gardens that their maintenance director has created. It is worth seeing and a real passion for the residents. It is obvious that these people care about everyone here.

Just want to shout out Alan Baker for outstanding performance in a bad situation. I recently cleaned flooring here as a vendor, and the water main burst and cut water to the building. Most maintenence directors don't even know what day I'm coming, but Alan called us to postpone or reschedule immediately. When I got there, Alan was still running around making sure residents had drinking water and flushing water. He never failed to give a resident his time of day, and still had time to check in on me and make sure I had everything I need. He also took the time to learn about my processes and ensure the cleaning was top notch. I didn't see exactly what time it was when he said bye and took off, but it must have been around 10 or 11pm after a full work day. Alan seems like a superstar that's at the right job.
My aunt lived here. She is in a wheelchair and pay’s to have someone clean her room. She also pays for someone to do her laundry and give her a shower. She hadn’t had a shower in two months. She also ended up in ICU with severe sepsis shock. Vineyard Heights didn’t call me. I received a call for the Dr at OHSU. I was on Ruth’s emergency contact list. Ruth was moved to a different care facility. When we went to pickup Ruth’s belongings. Someone went into her room that was locked and stole her TV. We have the state involved. . They also did have cameras BUT they didn’t work.
My husband and I.are looking for independent living and found Vineyard Heights offers 2 bedroom/2 bath cottages that could meet our needs. Each cottage has a garage, covered patio and utility room. The property is well maintained with raised bed gardens, pergola, and grape vines within a fenced green area. The daily menu looks yummy and every day there are "standard choices" of salads and sandwiches. We'd be interested in attending any of the group actities; happy hour, sit and be fit, painting clases, etc. Michael was a great tour guide and answered all our questions. We'll definitely be considering VH when we make the decision to move to a community.
This place is a great place to come visit. My friend works here and they have lots of events open to the community in which we get to interact and talk with the residents here. Every time I come it’s a great clean and friendly place. The staff are very nice and also very helpful to all the residents in Vineyard Heights. We look forward to all future events.
