Went in for a tour for my mother. I was greeted by Vanessa in admissions. I was honestly left in aw about her customer service. Her friendliness and compassion is really a 10/10. She really helped me put my mind at ease. I was also impressed that the facility was very clean, it looks amazing! It was refreshing to hear Vanessa greet all residents by name… that really is hard to come by. I definitely know I am making the right decision and picking the perfect place for my mother.

I placed my dad here on February 7, 2025 and he passed away in their care on March 12, 2025. The only positive I can say is that his nurses and cnas were all very kind and caring. The evening my dad passed, the assistant director of nursing, Michael, was kind enough to contact a local funeral home to come pick up my dad, as I don't know the area. The negatives: I'll start with the fact that it's been almost a week since my dad passed away and not a single person who I worked with in the 6 weeks my dad was there have contacted me to offer condolences. Not a single person - not Paul from admissions who told me how wonderful it was there, not anyone from the social services team, not a single person. Any kindness they showed while my dad was alive was not sincere. They are there strictly to make money. During the time my dad was in their care, his physical and mental health declined quickly. They chalked it up to him taking time to adjust to the environment. When they had psych come in to evaluate him, they just changed his antidepressants and didn't dig into the symptoms he was exhibiting any further. The day he passed, the AD of nursing realized that the last 2-3, weeks my father had been suffering from Terminal Agitation - which happens when a person is actively dying. For those weeks my dad exhibited every behavior listed for Terminal Agitation, yet a team "dedicated" to taking care of the elderly never identified it. Had they, I would have been able to process what was happening when I visited him almost daily and pivoted to hospice care so that he didn't suffer during his last days as he did. The lack of knowledge and/or concern in that area for a skilled care facility is disheartening. Oh, did I mention that when the nurse was on the phone with me telling me that my dad "expired", she told me she had to go because there was a code blue and told me she'd call me back. She did call me back later, but how are there not enough nurses there to take care of things when she's telling a patient's family that he died a few minutes ago? The lack of professionalism across the board for this facility is unbelievable. They literally care about money and not people. All of this being said, would I recommend this facility to anyone? Absolutely not. Shame on the administrative staff and a good portion of the medical staff for not being equipped to do their job properly. I hope no one else has to go through the hell my father, my family and I were put through because of this team. If I could give them a zero, I would.
Overall we have been very happy with the care that our family member has been getting after his stroke. However, two people have gone above and beyond to help and it has been so very appreciated. Vanessa, the admission coordinator, has helped in numerous ways such as tackling insurance issues, making sure our many many questions are answered, and caring for the entire family involved with the patient. Her time and attention has been priceless to us. The second person is Trevor, a physical therapist. It takes a connection with a patient to get them moving sometimes and the care and dedication Trevor shows has helped our family member make progress in his rehabilitation in ways that others could not. We know that with this care, our goal of getting him home will happen.
Great staff and facility! Vanessa has been extremely helpful in so many ways for my family. She is truly caring, empathetic, and has been understanding to our needs. She is a great listener and does a great job of explaining everything!
Sharon, a social worker at Village Place, was wonderful. She was very kind, compassionate and patient with my dad as he visited his wife of over 70 years daily at Villa Place. After mom passed and when dad went to collect her personal belongings, Sharon walked him to the car and cared enough to ask if she could give him a hug. That meant the world to dad and was exactly what he needed in that moment. We had a situation where some of my mom's personal belongings were unaccounted for, temporarily. We were appreciative to Paul, a new administrator of only a few weeks, and the staff who took the time to locate the items and get them returned to us. Mom was placed at Village Place due unfortunate circumstances but was in competent hands and well cared for while she was there and, in her short stay, we had many positive interactions with the staff.
