My wife has Dementia and we had tried several Memory Care Units for Respite Care before having to place her full time about a year ago. None provided the environment and level of care I wanted. I visited several upscale communities and finally chose Village Park. They have an active program for residents tailored to the level of their capabilities. The staff is very caring and provides personal attention to the residents. The manager, Allison, is very active in the unit and is involved in not only the care for her residents but helping them emotionally. They do have some turnover, but the industry is expanding rapidly so there are many new facilities opening up that need staffing. The facilities are new and very nice and the food is good. I am a healthcare professional and very comfortable with the care she receives.
I don't normally leave reviews but after reading most recent review I had to say something. This was by far the very best place for my mom. I'm very happy by how caring the staff are. I went to visit several facilities. I knew when I went to village park I had found the home for my mom. I was looking for clean and ordor free. It was both. She loves the food and never once complained about it.They're so patient and so kind. They truly care about the people they take care of. All the staff are very professional and will go out the way to help out anyway they can. It's activities to do so she's never bored. I'm very happy with village park and would highly recommend!
We moved mom to Noble Village, now Village Park, a little over 2 years ago. Initially, we were impressed with the outward appearance of the facility. It was brand new, amenities galore, good meals, and her apartment was a nice size. However, after two years, we can look back and daily be thankful for what is going on INSIDE Village Park. Sure, it is a very nice facility, but the patient care is what is most important. She is now in Memory Care, and Allison, the Director, and care staff are a blessing both to mom and our family every day. We didn't know what to expect when we moved her to memory care, but they knew what to do, how to do it, and they helped my siblings and myself as much as mom through the process. They have been patient and respectful and we are as happy now as we were when we made the decision to move her.
I've been visiting communities in this area for my mother. She's still very active and has been hesitant to move out of her large home. The bungalows and cottages are very attractive and help enable residents to stay independent, but safe and connected. The staff was attentive and well informed. I plan to come back with my mother soon!
