Originally moved into Villa Serena in 2012. I’ve moved two times to help family but have always come back to the Villa as this really is home. The people here become family; looking out for each other and helping out as much as needed. Morning coffee is the best way to start the day socializing and laughing with friends. The staff, especially the new management team of Danielle & Michelle, are friendly & helpful, care about the tenants and are quick to address issues. There are a number of activities to join in if you desire, a bus for shopping, as well as special events. It’s close to shopping and restaurants, next door to Hillcrest Hospital and a great place to be if you want to remain an active senior. Even if you just want to sit & relax, the grounds are lovely.

My mom has lived at Villa Serena for about 11 years. Yes, there have been ups and downs, which is common in any apartment situation. Management has always been very receptive and on time with any repairs or issues. There is a newer office staff, and we are most certainly “team Michelle” , who has answered all of our concerns rapidly. Everyone on staff, from office, housekeeping and maintenance are kind, friendly, and eager to help. Mom is looking forward to the nicer weather, when she’ll be able to enjoy the outdoor area. Fun fact, my grandparents were two of the first residents when The Villa was built in the mid 60’s, and they loved it . Their experience made it my mom’s first choice when she decided to move into a senior living situation.
I enjoy living in a community where people engage in a multitude of activities within the Serena Villa family. It offers a multitude of experiences including weekly visits to stores; playing bingo, cards and going to concerts as well as a plethora of other events. I am pleased that the administrative office staff and maintenance are Johnny on the spot when there service is needed. All I can say is thank God for a fresh start! It wasn’t like that with the prior administration at all in my opinion.
My son had fill put applications to get an apartment..it seem very hopeful but then we got a letter denied him to move in..I tried talking to Krystal the compliance person to explain the letter I made several attempts left messages but never received a call back. That was very disrespectful and professional.
I have lived at Villa Serena for 2 years now. I am happy to say that after some struggles they have hired a great new team in the management office. Dannielle is smart, caring and kind I hope she never leaves.
