My stay was extremely pleasant. The nursing staff fantastic, the CNAs were understanding and patient. The cleaning staff was wonderful the rooms are clean The kitchen staff fantastic. Each and every person. The nice thing about this place is they treat you like you are a person they have respect for your feelings and they try to accommodate you with everything. It has been a very pleasant day for me. Even the other residents very pleasant. Getting my knees done in a year and a half. I hope I come back to the same wonderful place that I have been at.

My mother was transferred from rehab. She unexpectedly and quickly declined after admission. Common to health care facilities serving seniors, I found the quality of daily care to be hit or miss. Clearly some staff seem committed to providing compassionate and appropriate care. I remain forever grateful for each and every act of kindness expressed toward my mother. Other staff appear to be on site simply for a paycheck and, in my opinion, were rather harsh and unkind more often than I care to recall. Messages from departmental supervisors on site were at best, contradictory. At times, one might wonder how often they update each other on the condition of the patients in care and how often policy changes go into effect. Granted, staff shortages, budget constraints, and other issues beyond my knowledge, can impact quality of care. Under the best of circumstances, end of life care is hard to witness in our loved ones. Yet, we all can do better. Effective family communication was awkward despite efforts made to accommodate opposing family opinions on our mother's care plan. Notification of my mother's passing was shockingly unprofessional. Attempts to keep up with the care of an aging facility were noticed. However, cleanliness and responsiveness from staff regarding building / room issues were inconsistent depending upon who might be on staff at the time. Mom's brief hospice care (nine days) after just several months of care was complicated by personal family dynamics. I am troubled that several attempts to reach out to supervisory staff, including two calls to the executive director, after mom's passing have gone unanswered. I am grateful my life circumstances allowed me to be on site almost daily throughout her stay. Despite the challenges noted, my husband and I are grateful we were able to enjoy meaningful conversation and experiences while she was housed at this facility. In good conscience, I would not refer friends or family to pursue placement for themselves or their loved ones at this facility.
Upon arrival to the small parking lot, i was greeted by a friendly worker who explained the sign in process. Going up to the second floor to visit my mom and having some interaction with the loud, unpleasant nurses was bothersome. I didn't voice my opinion about a certain nurse but another resident asked if "I liked her?" I was shocked to get that question but answered no. And she responded.. " I don't either, she always seems mad about something." I couldn't agree more. It's sad that these places employ such unhappy people to work with those that are a bit helpless. There are many of us who come and visit my mom and make sure she has what she needs and take extra care but there are those who don't have anyone. I wouldn't want my family to be here nor I. Good luck.
My husband was here for 3 weeks after a fall. He had brain surgery 2 months earlier, then radiation before he was transferred to VF. The staff seemed fine, but there were a few that were very harsh and didn’t seem to care. He’s worse now than he was when he went in.
I wish I could give this place no stars I have a friend in there right now who is suffering in a very negative way. My friend seems drugged up when I visit and out of it. He has lost weight from not eating the terrible food. His room is always dirty, bed pans ,used towels, and bathing pans in bathroom on bathroom countertops, the hall smells like feces from uncleanliness of the patients, I worked at this place years ago and it was nothing like this I am disgusted by lack of care and concern for my friend. I have bought food for him and I have other people who check on him as well and they tell me all the things that I stated above. The people who are caring for patient should be ashamed of them selves and need to be reprimanded or replaced!!! I have no more words but to say DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS PLACE!!!!
