My stepmother has been a resident of Villa Capri for 2 months now and we’ve been very happy with her care. We had to wait for a few months before they had an opening, but it was worth the wait. Our point of contact there was Brownlie and she was absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable and accommodating and so so helpful from the first moment we met her. The facility is beautiful, the food is delicious, the activities director is creative. friendly and upbeat, and the rooms are very nice. My favorite thing is the bird atrium, where you can watch beautiful birds flying and nesting. My stepmother is in the memory care section and she is looking really good. She’s gained a little weight and her color is much better. Just today they went on a trip to J Winery! It’s a special place, and we are very happy to have our stepmom there.

My partner and I were received with both professionalism and a sensitivity to the nature of our visit. Brownlie shared her insight after we spoke of the situation with my brother and his wife, we are looking for placement for two. She described how the setting can meet the needs of residents in myriad ways from social to individual. We came away with a deeper understanding of Care Facilities and how placement would increase their quality of life.
After a two month investigative journey through multiple assisted living communities in Northern California, I happened upon Villa Capri in Santa Rosa.I quickly scheduled a tour with Brownlie Raffaini, and in a matter of days I was guided with supportive compassion and a steadfast assurance that my precious mother would be receiving the highest level of care in this community if this was the choice I made. By the end of the tour there was no question, Villa Capri would become my mothers safe haven, her home. The weight I had been carrying unawares in this arduous search was lifted. The guidance and understanding of my mothers individual needs were unparalleled. My mother has been in residence for 7 months. She lives in and moves through this beautiful Villa Capri community with the assurance of constant support and care while simultaneously experiencing the gift of independence.
I took a tour of Villa Capris and was really impressed by the person giving the tour. She was so thoughtful and genuine. In the end we decided that Villa Capris is not the right fit for my mom at the this time, but I was really impressed by Brownlie and how she was really making sure that my mom's needs would be met and not just trying to sell the place. She truly was a breath of fresh air!
Do your research before having a loved one live at Villa Capri. Owned by Gallaher and recently management has been taken over by Well Quest (previously Oakmont). It's obvious that Gallaher has hired Well Quest to cut costs and manage Villa Capri as a low budget facility. Residents have voiced complaints about the long wait times for the staff to respond to their call for help. Food is constantly an issue being cold and not tasting good. Inexperienced staff is not properly trained. Communication with Well Quest goes unanswered by the senior management team. This is NOT the place for your loved one !!
