Choosing to volunteer at a retirement home has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I feel so fortunate to spend my spare time here to help when I can. From the moment you walk in, there's a palpable sense of warmth and community that truly sets this place apart. The staff are simply exceptional. They are not only highly professional and attentive to the residents' needs, but they also genuinely care. You can see it in their interactions, their patience, and the little extra touches they provide. It's clear that they foster an environment where residents feel respected, comfortable, and truly at home. What I've found most impressive is the vibrant atmosphere they cultivate. There's always something going on, whether it's engaging activities, lively social gatherings, or quiet corners for reading and reflection.

My grandma is currently at Valley View, receiving outstanding therapy and care that have greatly contributed to her recovery after a recent hospital stay. From the moment she arrived, the team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists have worked closely with her, developing a personalized plan. Each session is tailored to help my grandma regain strength, improve mobility, and enhance her daily functioning. The nursing staff has ensured she is comfortable and well-cared-for, making sure her needs are met with attention and kindness! Thanks to Valley View for the great therapy and genuine care she is receiving!
After visiting multiple places to assist my loved one, I had my heart set on Valley View and was so happy when their newly renovated Legacy Lane hall opened. The hall itself is fresh and new with a homey and nice "great room" (kitchen, seating, and dining) atmosphere where you first walk in. It has a fairly large courtyard area to go outside for fresh air. The rooms look fresh and crisp and have never had an odor and always been clean when I've popped in for a visit. The staff is attentive and I am pleased with the fact they communicate with each other so well (example, taking my loved one out for a special occasion, the person I told wasn't there the day we went out, but they knew about it and made sure when I showed up to get them, they looked good and felt good about themselves and had on the outfit we talked about). I've seen several meals and it always looks and smells appealing. Not to mention they will make special desserts as an activity to serve later....just like at home! The nurses have been efficient, pleasant, and easy to talk to and call me when needed, so I have not felt worried. The staff always greets my loved one by name when we are out and about on a walk around the facility. The business/billing office has been easy to work with and always gets back to me quickly. I really can't think of a thing I could even complain about, which is never how I imagined this transition to be! My loved one is always clean, always doing something, and I would say is THRIVING there. Thank you Valley View, especially the Legacy Lane staff. My mind is at ease when I can't be there.
Valley View is the ONLY place that I would entrust to care for my family members. This past year Valley View cared for my parents and uncle. As a caregiver and daughter, Valley View employees were helpful and caring from the start. Making decisions for loved ones is not an easy task, but the staff here relieves the stress involved. I was fortunate to have Leslie's assistance to guide me with getting them in the door. As residents, the list of wonderful nurses and staff is too long to name to praise for excellent care. Rachel Clapp helped me through an especially difficult time assisting with hospice and used her expertise to get me the resources necessary. When making a decision for your loved ones - the choice is Valley View.
Valley View is a wonderful place for rehab. Food is great. Staff is delightful. The trip to Bench’s to get flowers was extra special. Highly recommend Valley View.
