My dad, along with the other residents, had a wonderful experience interacting with Shelly, the recreation coordinator for the 4th floor. My dad was really happy to be back home. My sister and I took him on a quick grocery run to pick up a few things for himself, and he genuinely enjoyed being able to do a bit of shopping again. Even though a rehab center isn’t the most ideal place to be, I have to say he really connected with the other residents and made some good friendships—something I think he’s really been missing. He definitely misses playing Mahjong with his friends! Before I even pulled away from Union Plaza, he asked if I had spoken to you about any places he could go. I think he’d absolutely love the chance to visit Union again and play with his friends. Shelly, thank you so much for getting back to me with those senior center options. I’ll take a look and hopefully find a place for him sooner than later. Thank you again for everything—from being such a wonderful recreation person who really understands the needs of the residents, to being such a helpful source of information. I truly appreciate it. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit at this facility today My friend moved here after shoulder replacement surgery. While I was sitting with her she was visited by the wonderful nutritionist who was very sensitive to her needs and preferences. A nurse came to visit and was attentive. The atmosphere was very good and the room she shared with one other person was suitable and pleasant with light colored furniture. I have great hopes for my friend's recovery here
The Union Plaza Care Center have done an incredible job taking care of my grandmother as she recovers from her surgery. Incredibly attentive and very patient with her while making sure she is comfortable during her recovery. The doctors and nurses have gone above and beyond making sure she is getting the physical therapy she needs and monitoring her health on a daily basis. My grandmother has been incredibly happy with Judith Aziz - how she has some of the best bedside manners when helping out despite language barriers and brightening her day whenever she stops by. Our family have been incredibly grateful to the team at the Union Plaza Care Center and overall having a very pleasant experience.
My dad, Joseph, would like to thank all the staff members at Union Plaza for helping him with his recovery after hip surgery. Overall, they generously offered help and showed great devotion to their patients. He particularly would like to share thanks with Martin and Victoria (physical therapists), Christ (head nurse), and Baptiste, Judy and Carol (nursing staff). I would also like to thank those people I interacted with too: Clara (social work), Cory (admissions) and Theresa (nutrition). They all took time out of their day to answer my numerous questions and help me feel assured that my dad was taken care of well. I would recommend this center to others looking for very caring people to support their loved ones.
My mother stayed in here for recovery about a month after her leg surgery. Every staffs are so friendly and professional. Specially Judith Azi CNA is the BEST! She is so sweet and kind to my mom. Very professional to Make her comfortable to stay. I really appreciate for all staffs who works so hard for here. Thank you!!
