Such a great team that is truly caring and compassionate for their residents. Carson the administrator has a heart of gold and goes above & beyond. When I visited the facility Carson greeted me with a smiling face at the door. During my tour I was able to meet the rest of the Tyrrell House team from Adria, Zella, Jack and many more. The residents seemed to be happy and well cared for!!

Tyrell House is a wonderful, loving Assisted Living Facility in Columbia. They provide loving care to all the residents This place feels like home as soon as you walk thru the doors. ♥️
The people here are horrendous. If you have family members here, please take this tip. Don’t tell your loved ones you are coming to visit. Show up unexpectedly and visit them regularly but on different days. The workers here do not change the bedding for the patients. They let them lay in soiled bedding and terrible conditions. They will only change the bedding if they know that family members are coming because they don’t want people to know the conditions of this place. They will steal the patients belongings and their packages. They are conniving and will trick older patients into giving them their cards and money and say that they will do “favors” for them yet they take their money and don’t do anything for the patients. They refuse medications for patients they don’t like. They do not give medications at the same times each day either, yet only when they feel like it. They will listen into patients phone calls and scare the patients. The way they talk to the patients is terrible and disgusting. This place is filled with ELDER ABUSE, THEFT, LIARS, AND MANIPULATION. Please do not send your loved ones here.
My brother has been at Tyrrell House for almost a year. The staff are caring and supportive. The director stays informed and actively works with the residents there. The rooms are clean and a generous size. You can bring your own furniture or they may provide for your needs. Tyrrell House was our choice over the 8 facilities we visited.
Tyrrell House is providing my mother in law with excellent care. The administration is kind and courteous, and deeply respectful to all residents, and every staff member is attentive and compassionate. The facility is clean, is well kept, and my mother in law raves about her meals and snacks. I am kept well informed about anything my mother in law needs, and all of our questions have been addressed quickly and completely.
