My mother was a resident for 2 years. 2 years too long. Management is poor. The care is very poor. Management says they aren’t below staff but they always are. They frequently missed or administered medications late. Most meals I would not feed my animals. She frequently would not get showered. Often, We had to battle to get bed changed and too many times it was because no clean sheets available. Keeping her portable oxygen tank full was always an issue. I could go on and on. The ONLY reason she stayed so long was because her insurance provided additional Nurse Practitioner visits, which were not part of the staff of Tuscany (the best nurses by far). They also charged my mom for the month she moved, and could take 30 days to refund. Good luck. I hope this information saves someone a lot of heartache. Mom is in a much better place now. Update..Mom is at Parc Place Medical Resort off Memorial Rd. It is fantastic.

Kisha is great! She does laundry Great! My clothes are always clean and dry and look like they were ironed! But everything else is go the most part a mess. My bed is bad. Food horrible. Run short on Aides. My roommate who was very ill would have to wait as long as 3 hours after turning her light on to get her briefs changed. I lost so much weight that my sister had to buy me a refrig. And friends have bought me food. Doctors do not follow guidelines. I lost almost 30 pounds the first 5 most.
This facility doesn’t even deserve a single star, they are neglectful to patients and are some of the worst staff that I have ever experienced, when you bring up concerns about your family member you get yelled at and they try to intimidate you and gaslight you into believing they are right and you are wrong. I had multiple meetings with the administration team including the DON and the Administrator. Nothing changed. Wouldn’t go in the room to check on patients for 12+ hours, takes 3 hours and a family member to show up and ask for pain medication to be given. They don’t hardly ever answer the phones. My grandmother has had fingerprint bruises on her arms and inner thighs but no one has any explanation. Hair matted and clothes not changed for 4+ days and no shower given in 10+ days because they “forgot to put her on the shower list” no excuse for the lack of care on their part. Had to ask for 3 days for wound care orders to be made. Claim they want to make it right but the care just gets worse. Put a camera up, staff INTENTIONALLY covers camera. I could go on and on. Please do not send your loved one here. This is the most awful place and they will not get adequate care whatsoever.
So once again this facility has failed a patient, almost a year ago I made a review over the lack of care, the uncooked food, and the condition they leave my mother. However this was only temporary solved. I am coming back a second time to speak out about once again the lack of care, and about the staff. Today my mother was supposed to be up at 11:30 for her appointment that’s at 1, but of course when we asked if we could get her up (10:30) they said yes. Almost an hour passes and she is just now getting nurses to come in her room. Because of this she is not only going to miss her transport ride but now has to cancel her appointment. Now I understand that they are super understaffed and we try to be understanding. Until I see aids just walking in the hall ignoring my moms light, talking with each other in the lounge, or pretend to be busy in the lobby. I get that only certain aids can get my mom up, but they could still go in and reinsure her that someone will help. I’m not saying all nurses and aids are horrible here because luckily there’s a handful who aren’t. But one person can only do so much and I understand that. The PA I would love to appreciate is Jamie. Not only does she do her job but she picks up where others lack (she is the reason my mom is finally getting up). I could honestly go on and on about this facility and how they lack communication, the ability to do their job, and how they just don’t care what so ever, but it’s already sad enough that a 16y old has to point out the nonsense that goes on here when no else wants to step up. Hopefully someone will see my review and make some serious changes that are permanent not temporary, or reconsider sending a loved one here🤗💋
I wouldn't recommend taking anyone you love to this place! The staff is careless! They take horrible care of your loved ones. I literally had to cuss the nurses out every single time I went to check on my mom and she was only there for rehab. She was filthy every single time I went. She was wet every time I went which also caused her to have a bed sore that they did a horrible job taking care of. The nurses never knew what was going on and the CNA's didn't either. They only person who was actually helpful was the nurse who works on weekends, Monica. Do not take your family to this place!
