Traditions does an amazing job with hiring staff that is friendly, caring, and has a sense of humor. When I took the first tour, with Cathy, I knew immediately it was a wonderful place for my mom. It just feels warm and comforting. My mom has been there for 2.5 years and is soooooo happy.

I can't say enough about how terrific the staff at Traditions is. The front desk is all smiles & points me to her (Bingo, Hairdresser or Happy Hour). Marisa has gone above & beyond with helping me get her services. They've been a great resource & only because of them, my Mom has thrived & remains independent. They treat Mom like family & it's given me such peace of mind that I can even take a vacation without worrying! There's not enough room here to list the # of times they've been a lifesaver for me & literally for Mom. ♡♡♡
I stayed here visiting my sick mother in law and was harassed three times in three days. I’ll be honest I’m younger and look a little intimidating but I’m very polite and don’t cause problems. The staff here made these last three days intolerable. The night manager Scott was extremely rude to me while sitting outback and enjoying the weather. I will be calling main office. You don’t want to deal with this staff while trying to get hospice and everything figured out. I am extremely disgusted about how this staff handled my time here
We recently visited Traditions of Hanover with our family friend Martin who, at 92, is looking to move from NYC to a quieter community, so we suggested coming to PA. Cathy and Jennifer were so terrific and welcoming as they planned Martin's visit. We all had lunch with two of the men living at Traditions so Martin could ask them questions and get "the straight story" from other guys his age and he was pleased by what he heard. Lunch was delicious, with several choices and lots of fresh fruit available, as is a coffee bar during the day. Jodi served us and was so good with the residents, and so attentive to their needs; she even bought extra desserts so we could try them all. After lunch we toured the beautiful facility and a one bedroom apartment which Martin loved! Plenty of space for all his books! The library and computer area is great, and we told Martin we would get him on the internet in no time. We also met Cameron, the young woman who runs the exercise activities to keep everyone moving and flexible. Traditions has so many activities during the month, and weekly trips to the local grocery stores, and to doctor appointments, in their own mini-bus or Town Car. It's a beautiful community where everyone feels like extended family, and Martin is all set to move once he gets all his ducks in a row! Check out Traditions; you won't be disappointed.
The marketing department is very good at what they do. After that,it's every man for himself. The food is ok, nothing great, similar to a high school cafeteria. The cleaning staff blocks the hallways and talks about residents as well as their own personal problems. Cathy the director is a flat out liar, she insists that residents are "family". Well, unless she is from an extremely dysfunctional family, this is a lie. The dining room staff is very nice but that was the only positive aspect of the place. Look further if you are looking for a safe, secure place. They also do not offer the services they advertise. There is no lab that comes to the premises. Exercise group consists of a woman telling stories about her personal life in between a few feeble exercises. AGAIN, LOOK FURTHER.
