My parents moved into independent living over five years ago from three hours drive away. Their arrival was exciting for them and made better by the immediate acceptance of the neighbors already living here, and by the caring attention they received from Traditions staff and management. They were told by the Executive Director that once they decide to move into Traditions, they become part of the family. Sounded like a gimmick. It wasn't, and to this day, years since my mother passed, the neighbors, staff, and management treat Dad like he really does belong here with his "family." The facilities are not brand new, but are certainly well maintained, and spacious. The common areas are inviting and every day are well used by the people living here often with staff. The services include a variety from fun and games for groups and individuals, eg cards and puzzles. The excursions allow Dad and his neighbors at least weekly trips to a variety of area places. Restaurants, shopping, museums, parks, and on and on. Clearly we feel blessed to have chosen Traditions of Beavercreek. For anyone considering such a life change, you owe it to yourself to visit for yourself.

This place has a decline with the quality care being provided to the residents. Half the time there is bare minimal staff in the building. The management doesn’t care at all about the staff and residents. They certainly don’t care why the turnover is so bad at the Beavercreek location. Families are moving out due to neglect, abuse and just not feeling their loved ones are safe or getting the care they pay for up in Memory Care. The memory care is ran so poorly and just is so embarrassing to be there with the families and residents. Staff shows up whenever they want and can do whatever they want without consequences. The cleanliness is a major issues. Major medication errors with some nurses and these issues are brushed aside and no one held accountable. The kitchen, staff and food is yet another major issue we could go on and on about. But again no one in management wants to hear anything there. It’s always we will look into it.
Painted a picture to take a resident then said the resident is to agitated. We described the patients needs, and outlashes. Very disappointed after putting a deposit down and getting a room. No explanation why Mark was denied, and if it was because he would try to escape, Crystal told us the area Mark would be in requires a keypad # to get in and out, so not really sure what the issue is. Just seems like a scam to get a quick buck and kick somebody to the curb.
I moved into my garden home 2 years ago, and I can honestly say I am extraordinarily happy, and contented, here. The staff I have met are warm and responsive to my concerns and requests. I am enjoying my neighbors, the quietness of the campus, and the feeling of safety when I walk about the grounds. I particularly like the lack of responsibility in making decisions about maintenance issues, knowing that if something needs attention in my home, there is someone here who will take care of it for me. My garden home is spacious enough to allow me to have overnight guests, the grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and spotting a deer or a duck family occasionally is a special treat.
We have recently moved mom to Traditions. After going to other places, we felt Traditions was the best fit for mom. Her 1 bedroom apartment has a lot of room and is cleaned once a week and sheets and towels are washed each week. She has needed some help along the way and the floor nurses and staff have been most helpful. We have appreciated Mark and his staff to settle mom in and answer all our questions as well as, address any concerns we may have. Mom is adapting to her new environment as the staff continues to monitor her often and make her feel welcome . She was able to bring her beloved cat and having her cat has helped her to adjust even better to her new surroundings!
