My Grandmother was admitted short term after a hospitalization. Joni Barnett, the director of Social Services contacted me to help with getting my Grandmother back home to us. She was so compassionate and helped us come up with a great plan so we could bring her home safely. When we went to visit Grandma the staff was so friendly and took such good care of her. I’ve visited quite a few nursing homes and I’ve never been treated this well before. I would recommend Regalcare of Torrington to everyone needing a nursing home for a loved one

If you actually care about your loved one, don't bring them here. My Grandmother had to be sent to Hartford Hospital with a broken shoulder, she then had a stroke, when the Hospital tried to contact RealCare to ask about her medications so they can treat her properly, they didn't answer the phone, eventually the Police had to be called to go to RegalCare to collect the information the Hospital needed. The Hospital then helped us get her into another nursing home, so she is doing much better.
I support someone who had a repair of a fractured hip. This individual is non verbal and has special needs. Regal Care Staff were very accommodating. I was very hesitant, I did not here many positive stories of Regal Care. I was pleasantly surprised. Lisa the DNS, the nurses, CNAs, and PT did a fantastic job.
The staff is outstanding. Heads up to just name a few ........Lisa the most hands on get things done DNS . To all the supervisors especially Jen . All the nurses are professional and caring.The housekeeping and laundry keep things clean.And the hard working Amanda and crew at PT,well what can I say. Way to many to name .....but love you all A great place.
Very disappointed in the staff. My dad was neglected and we had to request he be sent back to hospital to evaluate him as he was deteriorating and staff was not aware at all. Thank god we got him out of there. If we rang bell no one responded. If I asked for assistance boosting my dad I was told he was already boosted. He was not sat up properly to feed. He always looked messy. My dad was asked to sign a form to change his insurance when he was not in right frame of mind. Getting his insurance back has been added stress on our family. We got no assistance with the insurance matter so my mom and I stopped in and asked to meet with the administrator. We waited over an hour. The administrator saw us waiting for her and never acknowledged us. Will refuse to have any family member ever go there.
