I don't recommend TLC The Heights. My mother spent 2 years in here before she passed away. It was a terrible way for her to end her life, and a traumatic experience for us. Some of the carers were excellent, but there aren't enough of them. Sometimes there was only one carer on the whole floor. We had a terrible time with the head nurses on mum's floor - there were two in the time my mum was in there, and both were extremely inadequate. The first one did nothing (hence got fired), and the second one was incompetent and uncaring. When we asked questions and attempted to get specific information about mum's fluid intake, they doctored the records (because they hadn't been keeping them). We also had an experience where the actual Manager lied to us. We also had to become mum's nurse and doctor. It was also extremely difficult to communicate with head office who don't want to hear about any issues with their facilities - but they are very good at accounting and making sure they are getting paid every cent owed to them (whilst not deserving of it). If you put your loved one in here, not only will it be a horrible experience for them, but it will leave you with PTSD. There was a running joke within the 4 walls that TLC stood for "Total Lack of Care."

Very clean and tidy facility I’ve seen so far !
My wife has a aunty there she hasn't seen for quite a few years and every time she rings to just ask how she is they say to her they can't tell her anything or even if she is there. My wife's aunty has passed a message on through another niece that she would like to see her.we are in Tasmania and would like to see her do we go over there and get sent away .
