STAY AWAY. SUPER DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. Our loved one said food is AWFUL. We never received any feedback from any physical therapist, nurse or doctor. I was able to observe physical therapy one day - the therapist would give instructions and go get on their phone and leave the patient to do (or not do) their exercises. Then one day out of the blue, we get a call that our loved one is being discharged. When the John Knox home physical therapist visited at home, they agreed our loved one was NOT in condition to be discharged. Likely, they needed the bed. Every time I visited, the staff was in the kitchen eating. Tons of violations of safe food handling and eating out of what is being prepped for "guests." The room was in need of a thorough washing. Floors were so gross we actually brought supplies and cleaned them. The telephone NEVER worked - we call maintenance twice. ZERO SECURITY. They have it looking like there is security but you just have to know a name and you can waltz right in. No one signs in on the sign in sheet so they have no idea who is coming and going. We will find something different if we ever need rehab again!

I’ve been in several surgical rehabilitation facilities throughout my life (8) and I’ve never written about them, only because my mom always said “ if you can’t say something nice, say nothing” well now I have to speak! I’ve not had a cleaner, nicer appearance room and the staff are absolutely top notch! I truly feel like I’m in a 5 Star ⭐️ hotel and every need is approached to me with a smile and kind attitude and this is the difference, this staff must be happy and well cared for because everyone here loves their job in turn the patient is well cared for with NO attitudes or huffing and puffing because you’ve interrupted them in some way. In the last rehab 2 years ago, I fought to get out of there and now, lol I want to stay at John Knox Woodlands! I can not express enough how very grateful and blessed I feel to have been recovering here. Every room has a view that’s spectacular. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️ Lisa #2206
Everyone was fantastic at the Woodlands for my mother. She is 98 and was there for almost one month. She couldn't have been treated better. The staff was terrific and my mom loved the food, which is not usually the case. Ivy and Elizabeth did a great job with managing her stay. She is now back in her condo and doing much better than when she left for John Knox. Thank you!
I was a patient in rehab on the 2 nd floor- Swan from November 26-December 8, 2022. I had the best care from every single staff member from Cleaning to the RN in charge, PT, and the kitchen staff, during the entire stay. The food was excellent. I will definitely hope I can come back here if I have to have rehab in the future. Words cannot express enough the great card I had during my stay. Thank you! The staff knew me by Ursula M West
My 89 year old grandmother came here after her knee surgery. She loved the food, and loved getting out into the botanical gardens which surrounded the entire village. She said it was stunning!
