The Wellington at Lake Manassas is the best facility I have visited in my travels in Virginia. Upon arriving to this facility you are greeted with a property that is vast and beautiful at first glance. The property screams of nature and a building that is so modern and beautifully architected. I think I preferred to wait outside to view this building more than anything. However, the night staff is so professional and accomodating that I am sure the residents are treated well too. The inside is beautifully kept and maintained with resident amenities that wood make other facilities falk short of being perfect. The carpeting and rest areas are so clean and welcoming, one wood think they were at a five-star hotel. The lake by the facility is a great feature for the residents because it's not inhabited like a park, in fact, most people are not aware of the lake. If this is what a retirement facility is suppose to be like, The Wellington at Lake Manassas obnoxious it out the park.

Went to tour the property and it was really nice. Jordan showed us around and introduced us to some of the staff and residents. Seemed to know everyone and vice versa. Helped us get the info we needed and ideas on how to move forward. If you're looking for a place to retire to, have her show you this place. You won't regret it.
My parents lived at The Wellington for six months and if I could leave 0 stars, I would. Since the day they moved in, I thought the attention and care was minimal at best. Since I moved them to another residence, it's night and day how attentive, kind and caring the staff are and I realize that this is how it is supposed to be and we shouldn't be settling for anything less. The food was consistently low quality, no one from housekeeping and maintenance to the executive director responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. The executive director doesn't bother to respond at all. My parents were never provided with an orientation to the residence, it would take a minimum of 15 minutes for an aide to come after my parent would ring her pendant and then the aide would come and say she would return to take care of whatever was needed and then never come back. Housekeeping for the first 5 months was awful. I would clean their apt when I went to visit. It wasn't until the last month that they were there, the housekeeper was thorough and kind. Clothing was taken to wash even though we didn't pay for laundry services never to be seen again. If anything needed to be repaired in the apt, it would take weeks to be resolved. It is difficult to reach anyone at the front desk. It often goes directly to voicemail and then never returned. It's a shame because the building is lovely, but I just couldn't leave my parents in a place where I felt absolutely no one cared.
This community is the Ritz Carlton of retirement communities. The staff was welcoming and engaging, the food was delectable and it is also very beautiful. I highly recommend anyone looking for a residence for their loved ones in Manassas, come to the Wellington.
As a resident at The Wellington for over a year I am surprised at all the glowing reviews. Many of the reviews are from employees who seem to violate the conflict of interest for posting. While the facilities are very nice and clean the level of care from the staff are nowhere near as nice as the current reviews indicate. The executive director is only here 2 days a week and many of the services don't live up to expectations. A number of the staff don't meet the state requirements of being able to read, speak, and understand English which makes communication with the residents difficult. There are a litany of problems that I don't have time to go into now but may add to this review with more details.
