1601 Hospital Dr, Greencastle, IN 46135, United States
I broke both of my ankles and was at The Waters of Greencastle for around 3 months for rehabilitation. The Staff was the best. I know most people would think it would be terrible, but the Admin, Doctors, Nursing, CNA,, PT, OT, Dietary, and even the cleaning staff made my stay there the best and most enjoyable. They took very very good care of me. I had a lot of fun playing bingo and cards with the staff and residents there. I made a friend’s with the residents and staff at The Waters. I would recommend The Waters of Greencastle to anyone that had to go through a short term stay at the Waters. If I ever had to go through something like this again or had to go through a long term stay, it would be at The Waters of Greencastle.

My grandma was recently at the Waters. Most of the nursing staff was good to her. However, the first week she was there, they left her sitting up in her chair until 1am bc they had forgotten about her. She went an entire week without being bathed. They continued to give her food her doctor said she couldn’t have. The place was not very clean . The administrator, Jenny was a very unpleasant person. She is very unprofessional. She talks badly to residents, family of residents, and staff . We placed my grandma somewhere else due to how she was treated by Jenny. After reading the reviews, I only see 5 stars from people who work there . Please do not send your loved ones to The Waters of Greencastle.
I recently left the waters due to horrible management. Always short staffed, causing staff members to be burnt out, using lifts without help, the nurses and aides are great, as far as management not so much. They put on a great show for state and visitors but behind closed doors your family members are better off somewhere else. They definitely have favorites and pick and choose who their favorites are. I forgot to mention that In the past month they have lost 3 employees & those three employees had called corporate including me. And there have been falls that were reported to a nurse that were kept “ hush hush” the best thing you can do for your family is look the other direction instead of putting them here.
Jenny (administrator) is the most condescending, degrading, snobby, arrogant, boss I’ve ever had. Claims she helps the departments with low staffing but truly does nothing but gossip about the employees beneath her and complain about budget. She’s unprofessional in the worst way, and has formed some clique high-school type of environment, where the people who make more money talk about you. Unless you trade your home life for endless hours at the Waters, Jenny seems to be displeased. I couldn’t possibly say enough negative things about this woman but I’ll stop there. I hope the residents and employees can speak up, as I know I’m one of many who share this experience/opinion. I did enjoy my co workers and the residents, which is why I’ll give this sad excuse of a building, 2 stars instead of 1. Do better.
My mother was at the Waters for a week. This place is a house of horrors! It takes 30 plus minutes to get a call light answered. The food is disgusting and your family member might be overlooked and not even get a tray. The orange juice is like a glass of water with one teaspoon of juice. Some staff are wonderful and caring, however that would be the exception not the rule here. I witnessed a nurse yelling at a resident and telling him she didn't need him to tell her how to do her job. I witnessed a nurses aide yelling at a resident saying she had never done anything bad to her. The resident said yes you are always been mean to me. There was a man sitting at the nurse station with leg wounds. His dressings were coming undone and dragging the dirty floor. And speak of dirty this place is filty. Another woman was sitting at the desk begging to be wheeled to her room. There were three staff members who ignored her. I took her to her room myself. The Director of Nursing and the Administration just make excuses for the neglect. I am a RN and I have never seen worse.
