Zero stars. My mother is a memory care patient moved to rehab over 3 months ago. Rehab is finished and she is ready to be transferred back to Waterford but Rehab and Nursing center says Waterford is being unresponsive. We called, emailed , and visited the asst Admin Natalia this past week to no avail. My mother has now been moved to a non rehab floor and we are very disconcerted because the rehab/nursing center does not offer memory care. Today, we visited, called, and emailed the asst admin, Natalia but she has been unavailable. They are her representative payee and she has not been discharged. We don't know what to do but hopefully they will see this post and get back to us. Update 2/2025-- The admin sent an email to the rehab so they could tell us my mom would not be readmitted to Waterford. The admins have been unethical, uncaring, unresponsive and very negligent My mother lost over 60 lbs in their care. She almost died because they did not monitor her thyroid condition properly. She fell several times probably as a result of not eating enough. Her last fall in 10/2024 led to a brain bleed. They lost her dentures, her luggage, and all her clothing and did not reimburse. We ended up buying her clothing and took over all her laundry. We have never seen this level of unprofessionalism. We filed a complaint with DOH. We have plwntybof emails documenting their unprofessionalism and lack of ethics.

My aunt has been a resident of Waterford since May. As a result, I finally have peace of mind in knowing that she is being well taken care, well fed and cared for. Everyone has been responsive to me and very helpful.
This place is horrible if your family member suffers from dementia. They leave them sitting in their wheelchairs for hours in the dining area. The play a video and or music on a monitor that's dining room over and over again, instead of physically engaging with them. I intially choose this place for my dad because they said they have memory care and that he would get additional engagement care to stimulate his brain. Well although we paid extra money this, it never took place and literally two and a half weeks after my dad moved in, he got a stage 3 bedsore. I moved him out as soon as he was released from the hospital. Do not move anyone in this place who has dementia or Alzheimer.
Death is very frightening part of life. Our mother lived comfortably at the Waterford on the Bay Senior Living Residence. She had lived there about 3-4 years. The years went quickly and now she has passed on. We wish to thank the staff and the Caring Hospice for always going the extra mile. She was fed, cleaned, dressed and kept as comfortable as possible. The fifth and fourth staff met Mom's needs. Staff on both floor treated her and her family with respect and dignity. From the administration, nurses, Hospice team, housekeeping and maintenance workers were all involved. We made the right decision to move mom; when her needs were more than family could handle in her home. Our sincere thanks.
I can't say enough great things about Waterford on the Bay. My mom was transferred from another facility on January 6th to the Memory Care floor and her quaility of life has improverd 1000% From my 1st meeting with AnnMarie in admissions it was just amazing. The care that this facility has for it residents is nothing like I have ever seen before. Every person from the Security guard who checks your tempiture to the receptionist who helps you check in when visiting... to all the aides and other amazing employees at waterford just a class act. We went for a visit yesterday with mom and they way the aides interact with all the patience is something special. This one lady Patricia was just outstanding... she was so patient and kind to all the residence on 5. Having to put a parent or family member in a Memory Care is one of the hardest thing a child has to do .....because you can't be there 24/7 . And knowing now that she is truly being taking care of is amazing! My siblings and I are thrilled with Waterford and how they care for our mom. She's happy and so well kept. Thank You Waterford for Caring for my Mom . You are Truly Amazing... Best. Patty Victory
