Everyone's so nice and made us feel welcomed. I know this is the place for our mother! We LOVE her and so does The Waterford.

I'm in the process to move to this Independent Living. All the staff management and other residents make you feel welcome there. Recommend W @ TO to all eligible srs looking for a new home. feels good knowing I'm taken care of and not worry about all tribulations of maintaining a home. so many amenities!!!!
All the Staff there are very friendly, I am very happy we picked the Waterford of Thousand Oaks for our mom. All the people have smiling faces and are so friendly every time. My mom loves it here. Thank you So much for making my mom feel welcomed here. I definitely recommend this for your loved one. The grounds are well kept, and it always smells clean and fresh and the inside is so clean and beautiful. Thanks Waterford for making my mom feel welcomed here.
Cindy Villarreal, the Activities Coordinator, is wonderful! She is so creative and talented in in providing group activities for the residents at The Waterford at Thousand Oaks in San Antonio,TX. My mother is a resident and has been very active and participatory in all the activities coordinated by Cindy. Not only is Cindy creative, but she is energetic, encouraging, and very personable. She communicates and interacts with the residents, visitors and staff very well. Cindy provides quality crafting activities, games, and entertainment that keeps the residents active and happy. She always has something fun on the agenda for anyone wishing to participate. Cindy encourages family members and friends to participate and join in as well. Cindy goes above and beyond for the residents…it is evident Cindy loves what she does and she is AWESOME!
My mother has been there 3 years. There have have been multiple issues. We found out very quickly the community internet connection was being monitored credit card hackers. She developed a lung infection so we tested the air conditioner and sure enough it had mold inside of it, they did replace the unit. She was without hot water for over a week last fall and there was no concession to her rent for the inconvenience. This spring she moved from a studio to a one bedroom, we reported no internet connection available for over a month before they came to her room to verify and it then took over a week to address. Covid has been an ongoing issue which requires isolation and having meals delivered. Although it is considerably less expensive than other independent living facilities it struggles to provide a reliable return for the money.
