Our family's experience at Stone Gardens over the past 8 months has been quite positive. Everyone from the administrative staff/front desk, nursing department, caregiving support, nutritionist and the maintenance team helped our mother and family during this time of transition. We found everyone to be responsive to our questions, provided updates as needed and available to meet. All of the team members have been professional, kind, caring and willing to go the extra mile. Our mother shared that everyone was so nice and helpful to her. Many thanks to everyone at Stone Gardens from our family.

We had a truly positive experience at Stone Gardens for the care of my Mom. The staff is kind and loving and cared for my mom like she was one of their own. The care increased as she lost the ability to care for herself independently. The staff at Stone Gardens have warm hearts and kind souls. The nurse practitioners, front desk staff, nurses, aids, housekeepers, meal staff, and maintenance were all truly kind and respectful to my mom and us. The staff at Stone Gardens were my moms Angels and I appreciate all of you for providing the care to my beautiful mom when I couldn’t. Mom mom was at several facilities and Stone Gardens truly shined above the rest.
My mother has been at the Villas (formerly Stone Gardens) since January 2024. She was very reluctant to come at first because she didn’t want to give up her home and independence. It took a few weeks but I can honestly say my mom is thriving now. She’s always been very quiet, but she’s part of a community now. She is 94 years old and goes to exercise class EVERY single day. I try to come with her at least 2x a week. There are activities ALL day long and she goes to them. Laura leads the activities and she is so involved and really tries to help. She even set up a bridge group for mom…she literally knocked on doors to find people to play because my mom really missed playing bridge. Every Tuesday is Name that Tune. It’s an hour long and a resident favorite activity. I come help out every week. My mom and the other residents love to hear the music and sing and clap along. It’s something my mom (and the other people) seem to really look forward to. It reminds them of music from their generation and they get very excited when they know a song and the artist!! We’ve played pool a few times (there is a pool table upstairs. My mom doesn’t play…she watches me and my sister or aunt…but she enjoys watching us!) My mom is Catholic but enjoyed going to the challah bread making class (I went with her and it was fun!). She really enjoyed the special Passover Seder dinner as well. She was nervous because she isn’t Jewish that would be a problem and it truly hasn’t been. Every other week, young children from the day care come and the residents sing songs with the young kids. I like coming to this activity as well. The young kids come hug the residents and it’s so sweet. Miriam leads this activity and she’s awesome!! There is happy hour (!!!) every week day and there are guest bartenders and my mom enjoys going and having a glass of wine and listening to music (from the television). However, there is live music nearly every single day that she walks to in the main campus (just a short inside walk) There are also weekly excursions. She went to Severance Hall to hear live music with about 10 other residents in the free bus. I went as a “chaperone” and the residents all loved it!! She has a problem with her faucet…it was too tight and she struggled to turn it on. They had it fixed within one day!! There’s a pretty varied menu and at least 2 options every meal to pick from. My mom has no complaints about the food there! Most importantly…about 2 weeks ago…I got a call at 7:10 in the morning that the nurse who checks her vitals said her blood pressure was 220! They called and ambulance and she was at Hillcrest within 20 minutes. If she had not been at the Villas…I’ve no doubt she’d not be here today. Every staff member I’ve met…EVERY SINGLE ONE…knows my mom by name and she loves that they are all so nice to her. Many of them know me now too because I am there a lot. I really am so happy that my mom is here and that her last years in life…she is being looked after and cared for.
I have been a resident here at Stone Gardens for nine months. I can’t give enough praise to the staff here. From the administrator to the nursing staff to the aides - everyone is as kind and caring as can be. I am especially grateful to their accommodations for the Orthodox Jewish residence including their support of the kosher dietary laws and traditions. A special hats off to the Life Enrichment staff as well.
Life at Menorah Park's Stone Gardens is warm, caring, and full of residents and staff who consider each other like family!
