We had our friend and care receiver here after she could not live alone anymore. Juan and staff are incredible!! Food is great and staff very caring!! Patty has a wonderful life the short time she was there and passed on to heaven to be with her Lord in peace. My mother was a resident at The Village of Garden Ridge for just over two years before she passed away this year. Juan, Norma and the whole team at TVAGR were the perfect mix of professional, attentive, compassionate and caring, both to my mother and to the rest of our family. The residence looks and feels like a personal home rather than a 'facility'. The meals are freshly prepared in the kitchen by the on-staff chef. And the residents are kept engaged by visiting musicians and games led by the staff on a regular basis. The Village of Garden Ridge is a rare gem for families in need of care for their loved ones.
My mother lived at the Village for about 4 years. After having my mother in several other settings (Assisted Living and a Nursing Home) I was fortunate to find The Village of Garden Ridge. My mother was falling almost every day and was losing weight fast. The staff at the nursing home staff would say "she has a right to fall", or her meals were left by the bedside very rarely being fed because she could no longer use her hands. My mother received excellent care at this facility. Staff would style and cut her hair, put make up on, paint her nails as part of their care never asking for additional compensation. She was always clean, her clothes were washed daily never an odor in the room or hallways. Staff were always busy, taking care of residents. My family and are were truly thankful to Mr. Lopez (owner) and his staff for the loving care they provided to my mother.
The villages of a Garden Ridge is a truly magnificent facility. The owner and manager Juan Lopez is a talented and compassionate manager and health practitioner. He runs high quality and well organized facility. His well trained staff reflects his excellence and provides a high level of care. In this time of year as the holidays approach, I am very thankful to Juan and Magdalena Lopez , the owners of the Village of Garden Ridge Assisted Living. This facility was recommended to me by Home 2 Home 4 Seniors and the recommendation is well-earned. My husband has dementia and has been living at the Village of Garden Ridge since July. The care he receives is outstanding--from medical needs to the activities of daily living--all are provided with consistent attention to detail. The meals are nutritious with lots of variety and good taste. The interior is always clean and the large windows give an openness to the living space inside. Most of all there is a warmth and a feeling of home--the staff is welcoming and I can tell by the way my husband smiles at them that he is well cared for. On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful to Juan, Magdalena and their staff for the loving care they give to my husband.
