The grounds were kept very nice but I feel there s more to the care than just pretty grounds. My mother was in skilled care. There were times I'd be there a couple hours and maybe see a nurse one time. Weekends were the worse. There were times I didn't see anybody. I went one time to get my mother a drink and all the girls on call we're watching TV . If someone would press their call button no one would know. Everyone I met were nice except one She was young and book smart but no feeling of compassion. She has alot to learn.
This opulent place hosted an antique evaluation event. I'd never been to one before and really enjoyed it. I took books and found their value. Thank you, VAOR, for this time to find out more about your facility as well.
Retirement Community. New (2013) and building additional units. Faith centered, many retired military and local area residents. The TVOR corp. offers independent living cottages and apartments. One of few retirement communities which also offers rental apartments. Renters have limited eligibility for Skilled Nursing and Memory units in Orchard Woods which is on premises. Also Includes the usual retirement community amenities e.g. transportation and activities for all residents. Not a continuous care facility. Rather than assisted living TVOR urges in-home care for residents needing special care. My Potential is a Lutheran owned home-care business on premises but residents may select their own home care providers Constant staff turn over in food services and building services. Big annual monthly increases. Planned expansion includes swimming pool, exercise and craft areas to open in 2016.
Every person working here is kind, good-hearted and caring. The place is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. The deserve 100 stars!
